Are there any visual differences in the date numbers and the lens magnification? Some recommend getting the no date to avoid this problem as it is more similar to the gen without the date.

Both are best of the best. So pick the one you like the most. I prefer VSF just because the movement and Crystal. I have used my Vsf 126610 almost everyday for over 4years now. Its a great watch. But some other like clean more, luggs/bracelet is”better” they say but i cant realy see it and i have both. The only downside with Vsf is the sharpnes on the crown and bezelteeth and on clean they are verry Smoth. But its a small thing.

I just finished a build for an LN. I got a good deal on a nearly new VSF and new Clean. I mixed and matched parts based on some feedback from others and using my own senses.

Movement: VSF
Dial: VSF
Case: CF
Clasp: VSF
Bracelet: CF (but either would work they were nearly identical)
Crystal: VSF
Bezel: CF
Hands: CF
Click mechanism: VSF

Think this is the best possible combination outside of gen parts, the only thing I would comment is the bezel for CF vs VSF is contentious due to the pip compared to gen.

Bracelet and glidelock between both factories is QC so just pick the one that feels best in hand, sometimes it's Clean, sometimes it's VSF.

Yes, out of the box the VSF glidelock was good to go. After lubing up the CF glidelock and working it a bit it was close to the VSF. So I wouldn't go out of the way to buy a VSF bracelet just for the glidelock.
