Where I need to be.
agreed. This goes for other useless "mods" like "gen spec" brushing, screw refinishing, and other up sells.

enjoy it as is
Different members like to mod their watches different ways. You have your opinion, I have mine (I’ll wear gen) and others have a variety of preferences in between.
The mods aren’t useless. Each member can decide what they prefer.

I think @legend actually does all of those “useless” mods for people here. And while it certainly is fair for someone to view those kinds of cosmetic mods as “useless” “upsells,” rebrushing (I am not sure I ever see it described as “gen spec”) and refinishing the bracelet, screws and case can subjectively (if not objectively) make the watch look and feel better. People on this forum have spent $300 (on an $890 watch) for new bezel screws that fit MAYBE a less gen-like .5mm tighter in the bezel, because the tiny gap between the bezel and the screw annoyed them and made them enjoy the watch less, which is just fine. One of the most interesting things things for me on RWI is to see how people address all the things on these reps that irk them (and it is just as interesting to see what irks them in the first place). I guess I think people should refinish, re-work, mod, franken, etc. their rep watches (or not) based on what gives them more personal enjoyment and based on their own sense of “value,“ without worrying about whether anyone thinks they wasted their time or money. As with cars, houses, and pretty much everything else in the world, there really is no right answer when it comes to how people value things or how they decide to spend their money. In the end, one person’s “upsell” is another’s ”attention to detail.”

Is the movement somewhat reliable?
I would just avoid using the chronograph because there is a higher chance for the movement to break. Most of us know this since APs have been reped. Although a couple of members on this thread mentioned that they ran the chronograph for hours and had no issues, but I personally would not risk it.

Totally correct here. Let’s keep in mind what is factual and what is just plain personal opinion, both of which is perfectly valid as long as treated accordingly respectively.
I know countless serious gen AP collectors and connoisseurs (@legend and myself included) and I’ll rather take what, in my opinion one of the most knowledgeable guys on gen and rep AP out of all people I’ve ever met (namely @legend, who has probably misplaced more gen APs in his drawers than most naysayers have ever handled) as a fact than someone’s personal opinion based on surface level experience and personal opinion (again perfectly valid just personal choice of preference)

This thread needs a index or clifs notes! So much good information here, but some of it gets lost in the discussions.

Anyway, I finally got mine yesterday and I'm very pleased with it overall. Movement truly impressed me. I actually didn't think I was winding it at first as it was so smooth and quiet. Of course I tried the flyback function. That will probably be the only time I use it, but I couldn't help myself. I think it's got a version 2 rotor? I unfortunately am suffering from two of the bezel screws being loose, so when I tightened the caseback screws ( a couple were loose from the dealer), two of them became misaligned. The question I am now debating, order the replacements from e-watch parts or live with it. Knowing me I'm probably going to order the replacements. On to the pictures of my latest precious...

I don't think you need replacements, just realign them.

No clue TBH. From What I read here, I thought most dealers stock was exhausted by april, so that would makes sense.
