I think it’s natural for anyone right handed that wears their watch on their left hand to take a wrist shot this way, I doubt it’s to hide the case

I hear a lot about this huge Clean to QF case difference so I will get my gen platinum out shortly (which has the same side case profile) and check out these differences myself, will be an interesting comparison.

As has been often repeated on here, the dial and bezel is better on the QF and the case/pushers better on the Clean, neither is perfect but beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I for one don’t care that the pushers extend a fraction of a mm longer because the eye isn’t drawn to it in my experience in the same way as dial printing and bezel.

How come no one is talking about the printing of the dial? QF dial had horrible printing especially on the sub dials, where clean is amazing. I think that is more important than how prominent the sunburst is which you can only see under very specific lighting

I think it depends on what's important to you tbqh. I discussed it a few pages back or something. I'm not in a rush for this model so I hope CF can come out with a better sunburst. Both models have advantages and disadvantages for each one.

First thing I did with my CF is check the sunburst..it's being over talked about imo..it has plenty of shine.
The CF printing "give away" is the "stubby" 1 on the 18 in the subdial...every CF I've seen has it..
But as Reaps showed in this thread the actual print application on the subs on the QF is subpar.
This is honestly a preference thing. Depends what you like more or matters to you more and what you can ignore.

For me another reference point is the tone/hue of the bracelet and case. The QF Le Mans has stock plating which makes it look white/brighter and closer to platinum. While CF is not accurate either since it's just basic stainless steel, it's closer to the gen warm/yellow-ish WG hue than the QF is. Granted, getting the watch WG plated resolves this issue. But I'd wager most people are not looking to do that (I've yet to see a WG plated le mans on here).

The weight means nothing to me since nobody else is going to be wearing my watch, and generally I prefer a lighter watch anyway. Also just factory recognition (CF has generally put out a better product than QF) swayed me to ultimately go CF.

The sunburst is so rare to see I don't think it's worth basing a decision on CF vs QF solely based on that, but to each their own

I would say much of this printing is poor pbotos because my V8 QF under loupe has very good printing and I see zero difference to the Clean in this regard. To me the Clean has too thin PN markers and wonky text going into the actual outer ring which is why I think the Qaf dial is superior.

Perhaps it’s worth waiting for a Clean V2?

Can’t comment on Clean but just posted on the QF thread here the V8 pics of the sun burst finish which having seen an original in flesh imo the same. The QF dial and bezel are spectacular for the price imo. Running beautifully too

Thats pretty damn good printing on the QF.

My QF subdial printing is also pretty damn good and indistinguishable from my clean Daytona's.

Of course it may be other photos that let the reality down, but yes the QF V8/9 dial is stellar quality and for sure better print than original Paul Newman dial

Weird sunburst on Clean and QF still has that milky gasket ring. I'll wait for these factories to work on updates as the competition heats up. Who knows VSF might join in later with a DD4132 modified from DD4131.

There is no outer lip on the sub reg dials of the Gen and the QF but there clearly is on the Clean and it’s not correct

The bezel inserts may be interchangeable, just have to get them and see.
