Spent the past week in Vegas for work. Got to try on an AP, Rolex, bunches of PAMs, and a Vaucheron. Loved the way the AP & Rolex wore for me. Seeking perspective as a someone new here, see lots of listings for "I choose the buyer" and 100% get why. Aside from continuing to post/engage, and becoming a supporter/verified are there unspoken things anyone would be willing to share about how sellers choose a buyer? Appreciate any insights y'all can provide as I'm learning the ropes still

...a few tips include not ghosting a seller after saying" I'll take it" . Also, a little conversation with the seller can oftentimes put them more at ease with selling to a new member. Getting certified helps as it proves you are legit and not a sock account for a scammer (not saying you are, but discussing in general). Also being able to point to other platforms where you're had transactions helps with some members. truthfully some just won't want to deal with new members. Probably best to keep M2M purchases in your home country initially until you get a better feel for how things work.

Appreciate this. Especially the home country piece. Have a feeling it'll be a while before I get comfortable enough with running something through Customs 😆

⬆️This. All day long this.⬆️

Your name is your reputation on here.
And this is a prime example of how not to conduct yourself in M2M...

We all started somewhere & some will start M2M, others TDs. But basically just engage with others how you would like to be engaged with yourself if you were selling.

Welcome to RWI & happy shopping 💪

I’m pretty new here myself, and at first, I was a bit worried whether any of the seasoned members would actually sell me a watch. But honestly, if you love watches, engage a little, act decently, and just show you’re a normal person, it all works out just fine.

So far, I’ve bought four watches and sold one in the M2M section - no issues at all. A little common sense, a little kindness, and a little patience … and before you know it, you’ll be in way deeper than you ever expected.

Don’t say we didn’t warn you! :sneaky:

Well this is the right way.
Engage, banter, let people get a sense of your personality.

The side benefits are that it gets your message count up too, and your username becomes familiar to more people.

I guess the questions that come to mind when selling :
- is this person a potential scammer
- is this person going to give me a lot of grief and hassle me to death

My own test is :
- would I enjoy a beer with that guy, my round
- would he pay the second round without even thinking about it

For your test:
• Yes, you would
• No, well kinda. Happy to buy you a round, but I'm 14 years sober so I'd just get a lemonade refill

Oh Crap

Still can't find my way around

Funny you ask that. I stopped listing them frequently as the last one « Black Snoopy » did not sell and I gifted it to @eBoy (still waiting for your shipping details buddy…)

PM me sometime if you want one.

And read all the information on how the site works, etc. Great information and will save you a lot of trouble down the road. A Lot of good information, good people and great watches in this group.
