Hey this might be a noob question however I thought I’d ask the more experienced buyers here. I’ve purchased a Submariner from ChazingTime through reading here and some good reviews. My question is , are these watches from TDs , if you’re purchasing the highest grade , so good that only a Rolex expert can tell by opening it? Forgive me if this has been asked. Would love some insight . Appreciate any input and thank you.

Hello and WELCOME from the official RWI reception desk!

You are receiving this introduction because you either posted in the "new members say hi" section or —for the first time(s)— elsewhere. In the latter case, consider introducing yourself in the aforementioned section.

If you haven't already, please make sure to read all relevant sticky threads. They contain important and essential information such as the forum rules! Most importantly the sales rules, because you will NOT yet be eligible / allowed to sell unless you meet certain criteria / are certified first.

A good starting point is this list of resources on RWI:

Please also take another look at this important sticky that you should already have seen after logging on for the first time:

This quick anti-fraud guide is essential if you are about to order from a dealer for the first time:

If you need any further assistance, feel free to contact me or @Feefo!

We will gladly help, but please allow some time for PM responses as we have lifes outside of RWI!

Anyone can tell if they have 1, know what to look for; and 2, have a magnifying glass.

Magnifying glass not necessary for you guys with good eyes. Read the comprehensive guide posted by @dogwood on the Rolex Forum. A lot of great info and pictures there.

Well either way I wouldn't worry lol. I've tricked everyone I know that my VSF 126610LN is actually... real except for a few close buddies of mine who know how to keep their mouth shut XD

And that applies to even the 409 metal and high quality replicas ?

You already need to do reading

You're misunderstanding the "dealer" and the "factory"

I use the scratch N sniff method to check mine and my nose hasn't been wrong yet.
No one carries a device to analyze metals with them
No I know that, the metal reference was for the quality of these clones. I sort of figured that if they went that far to use the same metal perhaps the remaining quality was spot on or darn close. Lots of great info here I’m reading as much as I can . Thanks

I just came back from the mall by my house, they had an AD there that sells Rolex, Omega, Breitling, Grand Seiko, Tag Heuer, etc. etc. etc.

I decided to stop inside scared crapfully that they'll notice my VSF as a replica like easy peasy... You wouldn't believe it! I compared my VSF 126610LN to the genuine one and could not tell a damn dime difference! WOW!

Are you saying the AD couldn't tell or you couldn't tell?
I doubt the AD would say anything to you out of the blue unless you bring it up

why the hell would you go to an AD with a rep???
I was walking around the mall and saw the shop and decided to go in...

Are you saying the AD couldn't tell or you couldn't tell?

They didn't help me out, I was wearing my street clothing and I am a young lookin dude. They were helping out the other older guys that was wearing better attire. In fact they ignored me the whole time. I was comparing my watch through the glass with the gen 126610LN.

You have had a shocker, taking a rep to an AD is highly frowned upon.
Didn't know... 😭

I wouldnt worry so much about the minutiae of details observed up close. 99 times out of 100, the biggest tell is the person wearing it, take from that what you will.

Personally I only buy the reps I have owned gen or can afford to buy gen.
