That makes more sense. It wouldn't overpower the aesthetics of the analog dial that way.

Yup I love them - already ordered it; just waiting for the usual QC stuff..
movement is the same as gen - and the gen isnt too dim but not glaringly bright.... honestly cant wait!
also there are no pushers its controlled from the crown! all crown! such a good watch cannot believe the quality of this rep!

The close up pics on the gen for sale on eBay doesn't have the ser# like in your pic.
Which model version was the limited edition?
The one on eBay is the SS version with black dial. (From watchuwant)
The ser # is after the model # and blacked out in the pics.
I am confused about which model you are talking about.
Are you referring to the Air Force edition from France?
Okay met me explain the one with the french logo was Ltd and will have the different back - the SS one above with no logo is spot on - should have been clearer

Any Update SMIDSY? I couldn't help myself. I bought one too, mainly because it was gorgeous and quartz, which means it won't lose time or stop if I don't wear it for a few weeks.

I owe this to SMIDSY really... I bought it based on his recommendation to someone else here.
Tells that I can see are:
1) Lugs are different from the Gen. Gen has lugs that slant down and extend past the bottom of the watch case. Rep lugs slant don but don't really extend like the Gen.
2) Caseback "&" logo is bolder on the Gen than on the rep. I'm comparing it with the pics of the Gen as posted by Automatics here: http://jholbrook.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=review&action=display&thread=20586
Anyone else see any other glaring tells? I still love the rep. From a noob's point of view it looks so precise and well made and it feels great on the wrist. I do feel a leather strap might dress up the watch a little better. I'm all spent this month as I just placed an order for the fabulous PAM288K with the croc strap, otherwise i'd have already asked SMIDSY for recommendation on a strap.

Go for a gen B&R strap mate. They go for cheap
