i've ordered the new ACE 240 movement (+ new hands, pinions, moon phase) for my 5712/1R 18k build. It will go to the master @dogwood for full upgrades soon!

I’m looking forward to seeing the ACE 240 patek in person. Prizon shared the movement QC video with me and it looked healthy on the timegrapher in China. We’ll see how it is when it arrives in Canada.

Great to hear , where can you order the ace movement with pionions ? And are you using the ppf case or cnc?
Try to ask TDs. Or alternatively WeChat dealers. Btw, WeChat dealer popup informed me that fortunately the current raid didn't affect the significant Patek rep factories and makers including SW and ACE.
Afaik CNC case should be used for the ACE 240 movement.

Would you lgo for the 5712 from ChazingTime with all the mods + engraved movement for 1688 + plus service at about 140 US or simply just buy the 5712 v. 2 from Trusty and have the moon phase swapped plus service at about 120 bucks.
It’s 1828 USD vs 1036 USD…is it worth the extra scratch?

Do you care about what the movement looks like, are you a loupe peeper when it comes to the shape of markers and hands? Are you OK with a dial that looks very nice but has quite significantly wrong colours vs gen? Do you have a small wrist and need the end link flexibility?
If no to all of these just get the moonphase changed as it is the most obvious difference and I am amazed they still haven't updated it on the PPF v2.

Imho it depends on which dial you like and want: stock PPF v2 or the latest SW/VSV?
Although this watch is wearable from stock, keep in mind that for the pleasure of your eyes, if you re planning to wear the watch, a nice case work/Finish & dial/Hand is more important than an engraved movement.
My wrist is 17.5 cm so the bracelet is fine as is. How far off is the dial color on PPF v. 2 vs gen?

I bought a PPF V2 and later added mods so I can see the changes as they occurred, and if you want best bang per buck I would go for SW/Spongebob moonphase and SW dial. If you want to do more you can do SW hands, flexible end links, etc. There is a diminishing marginal return for mods, so it depends on how anal you are, but with just the dial and moonphase you are 80% there already.
