What watches are you looking to acquire in 2024?

I think that too, more in the direction of Panerei Radiomir, but the IWC or Tudor is fine too...

Been thinking about adding a bronze PAM to my list. Which IWC or Tudor are you considering? Possible to share a pic?

I’ll be looking to add a nice dress watch with a white dial on a leather strap. So either a:

• ZF IWC Portofino 40mm;
• MKF Omega Deville date 40mm (the one that doesn’t actually say Deville on the dial);
• JHF Omega Aqua Terra 41mm with the ‘Rio inspired’ wave dial (I think VSF used to rep this too).

Nice list. I have been thinking about the VSF omega aqua terra 2023 Ryder cup model as my first white dial watch.

Well, the way things are shaping up for me this new year, my list has now changed to :-

First arrival for 2024 (although ordered in Dec) has been a 3KF 5811. Absolutely love it and the quick adjustable clasp is a great feature (I saw a lot of people looking for half links for the 5711).

I have a Clean 2T YG daytona I wear as more of a dress watch / special occasions, problem is I keep wanting to wear it a lot more

So for 2024 I'm thinking a daytona for daily use. Thoughts at the minute are a panda on an oysterflex or maybe even a platona. I know the platona shouldnt be a daily, but it feels more subtle than the YG and why not.

Although after seeing @Le_Connoisseur watch I'm considering a stock one of those instead of panda on flex! And then there's all this chat about meteorite dials... Is there such a thing as too many daytonas?

Others I've had on my list for a while:

• JLC Ultra Thin
• VC 4500
• AP Royal Oak
• Patek 5712

I have been resisting the Daytona bug however, seeing some of those meteorite builds got me thinking I better save up and get me one of those…..

I'm really on the fence. I have a major event happening in my life and I want to celebrate the occasion with a new watch. I've yet to buy a replica but I want to be DEAD sure that I am getting the one I want. I'm currently deciding between an IWC Mark XX with a blue dial, or a Rolex of some kind. I know I probably should get the IWC since I'll like it more but I feel like a Rolex is THE watch to get to celebrate a major life event. Please don't send me to the brig or anything but I don't find the design of Rolex watches that nice.

Wear what you like. No one will send you to the brig for that. lol

Smooth bezel. It's going to be the suave sibling to the brash and bold YG DD36.

I like the smooth bezelas well. Been on the fence between the two for a long time. I may look to acquire later this year.

great list. I like it. There are a lot of great modders who can put together a Franken 1680 and 5513. Those TC Rolex seem to be rarer than hens teeth

nice choice. I’ve always wanted a James Bond omega but never pulled the trigger for some reason. May have to change that. Lol

PAM 88 was one of my first watches back in the day. Tudor is abrand I want to start to learn about. The sprite is a nice looking watch but I can’t wrap my head around the left side crown.

I have the titanium Pelagos lefty and I like it, as well as two older rose dial Black Bays - red and blue, as well as a Black Bay Coke GMT. I LOVE Tudor reps. I never see 88’s come up in M2M, but when they do they always seem to be reserved sales.

Thanks, I’ve had issues with trying to pay on Trusty’s site. Every credit card gets rejected. They used to run a 3rd party processor, a dress shop, but the last few times my issuer denied. I don’t do crypto, guess I could try Western Union. I’ve read about Wise but never tried it. That’s all me, I know it. I have dealt with one TD that will do PP for me, so I might try that route after CNY.
