VSF vs CF

Hey members,

As you know, VSF and CF are the best players in this closed market. But, does anybody knows in which brands the one is better than the other?
I mean like for example Rolex Submariner: VSF would be better but for the DayJust CF is better. Is there someone who already has an idea?

Anyway depends on what detail on a watch is important to you, none is completely like gen.

You are correct. VSF vs CF are top pick for DateJust right now. But which one is the best is really depend what you like better . It’s like comparing Samsung vs iPhone, some people likes iPhone, but other likes Samsung.

I like datejust VSF watch (better movement ) , but I like the datejust Clean blue dial better.

This great because I'm interested in the datejust blue dial actually. So let's take the overall picture (let's do not forget that it is a replica after all) what is the closest one to the GEN? I have already purchased a Submariner from VSF and it an awesome item. Very hard to detect it is a replica. How do you see this with a datejust? Is the blue from VSF so different from the GEN one?

The rest is pretty much on par imo.
If you buy a CF but fit a GEN xtal, you have a winner imo.

im quite happy with my VSF Datejust. Slap an ARF Band on it and its the perfect watch!

To me the best thing in having this very good factory is can one can build a Hibryd out of the best parts of both.
Make a good alternative in getting modded only whit gen parts

Gen Datejust parts aren't that expensive.

What would you say about the fluted bezels?

fluted neither are great - you need to have it white gold plated to stand any chance of it looking anywhere near gen.

I have both VSF and CF DJ41's and comparing them to my gen's, yes the CF blue is better than VSF but honestly the lugs don't offend me on the VSF - maybe my eyesight isn't as good as it was and overall I'm more a fan of the feel of the VSF. For me the VSF has a slightly yellow colour to the metal which actually makes the light bounce more like a gen.

first two VSF , second two Clean..... don't worry about the angles, the date wheels are actually very well aligned but the silver VSF is absolutely superb in terms of clarity. Mint is away having a PROF crystal and swapping fluted to smooth bezel

I’ve combined CF case with VSF movement. Then added Gen xtal, Gen dw and Gen crown. I must say the VSF has better shine on the bezel, but if you’re WG plating then either or.

This is VSF bezel though, my CF bezel is currently getting plated.

Looks great, I did the same thing short of thr crown. Was it a 605? Screw right on the tube

Correct. I tried the 604 but didn’t fit, the 605 screws down. I think the CF tube is too short though, had to use double O-Rings to make 5 bar waterproof!

Ok cool , thsnjj oh s so much! I ended up with cf case/bracelet, vsf movement, gen crystal, dial, hands and cf bezel. Love to see how yours comes out with thr plating.

Very nice! I’m on the hunt for a Gen dial but hoping to find a blue or grey I will upload a photo once it comes back this week, hopefully shine like disco ball

Did you compare cf fluted vs vsf fluted ? Which one is better
