3KF Nautilus 5711 V2, hands question

Just got my first rep ever and it’s a beautiful 5711 white dial from 3KF.
I have searched here on the forum and google but haven’t found the answer and therefore reach out the the experts on this great forum


Under some lighting conditions the hands reflect light completely differently than the hour markers (see picture)
The hands are always black but hour markers become “silver/wg” under some lighting conditions

So my question is, are the hands on a Gen also always black or do they reflect light like the hour markers?

Now i have never seen Gen and can’t see it on pictures online, but neither can I see it on pictures of the 3KF online, they always appear black (hands and hour markers) on both watches

On the gen, the hands have the same finish as the hour markers and reflect back at certain angles. On some reps, the hands are finished matte and do not reflect.

Thanks for the feedback guys

It was bothering me before that the hands didn’t reflect light and now that you have confirmed it’s not like that on the GEN it bothers me even more so I guess I have to start some more research work on modding

I have read that PPF dial is more gen like but haven’t been able to find info on the hands, does anybody know if the hands on the PPF match the hour markers regarding reflecting light?

Open to any other suggestions to this problem if anybody knows of a good solution

Thanks for the photos, this looks much better than the 3KF hands, do anybody know if the dial and hands from PPF fit the 3KF?

Afaik blue PPF dial / 3KF base hybrid mod is possible and exists. Idk if PPF hands fit 3KF. If possible I guess some modding is necessary.

light reflection, on blue dial, i would say:
3 kf are looking shit (sorry for being rude), PF hands are better, PPF hands are way better (already very good).... Buff Hands are playing in an other league (once smothed, same league as gen imo) ....

Guess I have to source a v4 PPF white dial and hands and find a good modder, do you know of any in EU that is good with PP reps? I see legend come up often regarding PP mods but he is not in the EU
