Geek says new movement in the next batch for what it’s worth. Last check in he said 2 weeks ago about a week ago. Idk. I have a white dial on order.

I’m not a huge movement snob anyway. What’s the hype over a new movement exactly? Myiotas a tank no?

No upgrades

No its thicker

Interesting. My TD told me it’s same like before. Good I asked before. Wonder why Zf made new version thicker. It’s like going backwards.

So ZF ran out of stock and took them a while to restock, or similar. We can expect an update in the movement later this year?

Yep
I don't know, ive been told that the movement will be updated but it will take long time. But what the movement update and what long time exactly means I don't know.

If you check the old zf thread you'll see that it depends on if you measure caseback to bezel or caseback to crystal. There are a lot of differences from piece to piece as well meaning their previous qc wasn't water proof, so to say. I think caseback to bezel measure has varied from 9,5 to 9,8 or so.

My TD told me that they updated the movement with “Balance wheel position is the same as the genuine product”
I’m not following this watch that much so not sure if it’s old or new news.
Debating between 15400 or 15500.
I like them both but honestly thinking to go with 15400 only for being thinner and new movement (which I’m not sure how reliable anyway..)

I finally got my ZF 15400 blue dial. And I must say that I like the dial a lot! The bracelet wasn't very convincing to start with. There was some flex between links as well as between bracelet and the watch case. The bracelet did give in to some extent after some meticulous brushing with a Bergeon stick though. The fitment between the watch head and bracelet was quite sharp which also had to be brushed. The watch feels solid enough, but the bracelet should need some care. Mine's looking forward to an oil bath to improve smoothness and to eliminate any squeaking.
One more thing to point out are the hands... they are a little rough on the sides and the lume differs ever so slightly from the markers.
I read that somebody had their ZF feel a bit more solid in movement rather then their APS, think it was Sonofalich . I have opposite experience, however both are very solid and run very well.

I will most likely get another APS, as I sold mine, and use the ZF dial in it. But until then I am enjoying the hell outta this fantastic watch. Because it really is just that, fantastic.

My ZF AP 15400 arrived today. Have to say I'm very impressed with it out of the box. For starters, it comes in a very nice box! This is the first Z Factory rep that I've purchased, so maybe this is standard for ZF, but all the other reps I've bought (Noob, Clean, VSF, and R8F) have all come in pretty "meh" packaging. So kudos where kudos is due: ZF has their unboxing experience dialed in.

How about the rest... well, the bracelet is by far the nicest AP bracelet that I've worn. But again, I only have one alternative data point and that's R8F's AP Tourbillon, and that bracelet is terrible. The ZF bracelet's internal edges aren't sharp. For comparison, the R8F's bracelet was able to shave debris up from the back of my fingernail, the ZF won't. Also, the ZF bracelet is far more flexible (see pics for comparison).

Finally, the movement's health. I wound the watch and put it on my timegrapher. The results were worse than the ones I saw from my TD, but they aren't terrible. However, there's something odd in the way that the time graph has a periodic oscillation or "wave" to the scatter. This makes me think that there's something off about the geometry of the escape wheel and the watch runs faster / slower depending on the angular position of the escape wheel. Here's the pic from my timegrapher and the QC pic. But this seems like something that would have shown up in the QC pic since it's not like shipping could have caused the geometry of the escape wheel to change. Or... maybe there's an issue with the mic on my timegrapher (although I don't see this pattern for any other watches I own).

Is that ZF?
I bought in M2M supposed to be an APSF and the box is the same
