Looking for info on this 40mm Zenith Pilot.

Ive always loved the pilot but they never made them in smaller then 45mm if i am correct. But it seems this one was released this year? Even though on Zenith's website it says "coming soon." Can anyone clarify on this and point me in the right direction as to where i would go about finding a rep version. Every one of my usual TD's only have 45mm. Any info would be great. Thanks fellas.

I just saw it myself. I feel like now that I own (but am selling) the 45mm, the 40mm would be way too small.

43mm is sweet spot for me

Maybe you are right, 42/43mm would be ideal also considering the thickness.
They say 12mm but it looks thicker in dealers' pics.

The lugs are already sloped downward and shorter in length on the regular pilot (so it fits smaller wrists), so I bet lug to lug is SUPER short on the 40mm. I wish the TDs would add aditional specs like lug to lug length.

The thickness on regular pilot is not 14.5mm or 15mm as TDs state, it's 17mm to top of xtal. Don't trust that thickness measurement of the one just released.

It makes perfect sense what you say and 17mm thickness for a 40mm watch ...it's just totally unbalanced

It's the xtal which domes quite high on the regular Pilot.

Video's are up on trustytime, and they do seem thicker then the 11.5mm as stated by tds

Hi pippo, case 40+crown5, total about 46mm.
little bigger than rollex sub.

It with miyata 9015. I think the thickness for 9015 thinner than 2824 movement.
Is there more thinner movement than 9015 ?
