Another one, remachined the case back on this one to get it closer to the height of the genuine 16700/16710. Took just under 0.75 mm off it, final measurement (12.21 mm - I cropped it too small) is with a gen crystal in the Viet' gasket, plus gen crown, insert, 78790A bracelet.

I´m waiting a viet case, but need to know more.

I buy a crown 24-604 willl work with 24-6020 tube. is direct install or need to make some special or put cement or make mod the case hole for tube?

Too i see the bezel is horrible, and unidirectional. what spring need to buy for make biderectional. I maybe i will wait for change for better bezel.

I need to buy too a 25-295C2 crystal need rolex gasket or work vietnam one. Need buy other height of gasket?

For the bracelet before i can buy a gen one, wich aftermaket can buy.

If you need to know more, you got it man! Forget looking everything up, how about I just tell you?

•You need a 24-600 crown

•The tube should be a direct install, use some loctite

•Buy a 16710 click spring. You might as well also get a new tension ring because the one it comes with sucks. 3 of mine have rusted so far.

•You can use the Vietnam crystal, but it’s not great. You can get an inexpensive Clark crystal and gasket which have worked great for me and I’ve not had issues with WR, but a gen crystal and gasket would be the way to go if you can afford one.

•Raffles has a (decent?) rep bracelet, but get a gen 78360 or 78790 bracelet if you can. 501b and 558 endlinks have fit the cases for me.

•Don’t forget to get a case back gasket AND a bezel gasket if you’re trying to make it water resistant. And make sure your crown has a decent gasket as well.

Last but not least... most of this info is on this forum already. Just use the search feature next time.

No new here i´m from 2006. I real all post, but ni prefer ask.

The problem is that case case a big hole for tube, and need a 3mm tube 24-600 work with 24-6020 tube and is 3 mm diameter tube. The question is i paid a lot money for 24-604 crown i don´t know if fit in 24-600 tube or not. I looking in other forum and i see 24-604 use 24-6330 tube that has too 3 mm diameter. Then probably work.

Too i´m nor receive the case yet, i want to know how is gasket crystal .

I think I have a Coke problem.

I had the first 16710 made (that I know of) with these new-ish cases. [mention]yodog [/mention] was awesome enough to build it for me all the way back on page 1 of this thread. There was a Pepsi insert on it in the first pics but I put the Coke insert on when I got it back the next day. That one was awesome, everyone seemed to like it but it was just pieces I scrounged up then they were assembled. Then I had a Pepsi, Swiss Made dial and that looked fresh and clean. There was one more Coke at some point but this last one... it’s something else.

Big big thanks to [mention]tripdog [/mention] for applying his trademarked badassery onto this case. I sent him a couple pics of my gen and I got back some artwork.

It shouldn’t be too difficult, but anyone want to take a guess as to which one’s the rep? Everything you see is gen except the case back, mid case and bezel assembly on the rep. I’ll post the answers after a few guesses.

The rep is now truly a fat lady. Honestly, aside from a few minor things on the finishes that are only visible with some form of magnification, this case work is incredible.
