Such a cracking looking sub. I'm definately looking to mod one up once i get some watchtools (incomming from watchbitz).

Time to send a PM to poke a member (no names mentioned) that managed to cut in between my vintage dream and me...
I need that watch to be able to sleep me thinks...
And it´s not a sub...
But close...

Question:
Does anyone think if you poke a person enough times the finally cave in and sell their watch to me just to get rid om my silly PM´s?

If that were the case after browsing here for a few days my fingers would be sore from sending PMs and my bank account would be empty. :biglaugh:

Wow... A rather deep and abiding love for the milsub that pre-dates the current rash of interest. I've always had a fondness for military watches and considered myself a "collector". I'm just now realizing how much I really don't know about the subject.

Time to roll up the shirt sleeves and start edumacating myself... :lolcina:

I think mixing brown and yellow paint with epoxy over it. I doubt that pearl still glows.

I'm starting to collect parts for a 5517 build. Going to use the new cartel 5513 case, Yuki Dial, Yuki insert, WSO pearl, Athaya 702 crown and a german T19 or T39. All those parts I have or are on order what I need is a hand set. The dial comes with hands but for a Rolex movement, The only other hands I see are Raffles Time and Helenarou and they are about .5 to 1 mm longer.

Any Suggestions??? Please.

I talked to Yuki tonight and he says they will be producing 5517 ETA sword hands in a month or two.

Yuki is very confusing because last night he told me the ETA sword hands would not be ready till May or June but then tonight he told me a 5517 dial with ETA feet would be ready at the end of March, I would think the hands would be ready with the dial... Oh well all we can do is wait

Hi Thrasher, do update me on your build. I've got a cartel 5517 on the way but according to the pics the dial is way different than what it shows on the site. (in fact, the whole watch is different!) I've heard that some dials don't fit in some cases. let me know if the yuki works! I would like to at least replace the dial, hands and crystal.

I have a new Cartel 5513 with good big workable CGs, a eta 2846, Yuki 5517 Dial, Yuki 5517 insert, WSO pearl, Athaya 702 crown and tube, T19 and T39 crystals. Its the friggin hands that escape me... I have a set that Sead sent me, the Helearou set and the Yuki rolex set for rolex movement so these wont fit the eta...Now all I get from Yuki is "I don't have 5517 ETA hands" He told me that in May or June he would have 5517 hands and dial for eta....But now he seems to deny it. OMG

The life of a WIS is fraught with peril
