A little while back I put together a 6542 Albino on a very tight budget - total parts costs came to around $900 if I remember correctly. For this build the budget was quite a bit higher - I'm not aware of the exact costs as I didn't purchase all the parts, but I think it's around $1500 for the watch head only - no strap/bracelet.
This thread isn't a comparison between the 2 builds, costs/results etc - they don't share the same specs', so there's no point - but it's interesting to note that even when you spend over $600 on what is supposed to be a "gen' spec' Vietnam case" you still need to work on it to get it looking right.
Finish on the case was extremely poor - case shape was incorrect, uneven lug sizes, uneven chamfers, sharp edges, poor brushing, poor polishing were some of the things that needed to be corrected. The case came with a 'Bakelite' bezel which was totally the wrong shape - not easy to re-shape something as fragile as that without causing damage. Although having said that, all parts did fit together as they should without problems.

Specs' on this build:

Vietnam case, bezel ring, insert & crystal.
Rolex crown.
Gan_Antique dial.
Reworked aftermarket Rolex roulette date wheel.
Raffles small GMT hand.
Low beat DG3804B movement.

@tripdog Amazing build! How would you compare this case set to Yuki's?

I've never worked on a Yuki 6542 case, so I can't really say - but all cases need work - even the most expensive ones.
