Surprisingly nice aftermarket Smurf insert

Hey guys, I search for and buy inserts regularly and I found one that's very good for the price so I thought I would share it here. Most aftermarket inserts come with white marker fill and bad pearls so I was pleasantly surprised to get this one.

If you need a replacement Smurf insert or just want to make your own Blueberry Sub, this insert is useable OOTB. Very close in quality to what you would get on a factory rep. Goes to show how much these inserts are really worth, when a profit is still made selling this for $14. Pearl cup is shaped reasonably well, it has the double stack look.

Lume is slightly more blue than these hands I just re-lumed with BGW9. I was never one to sweat this detail too much, YMMV.

my smurf has the platinum fill per the usual but i actually perfer the white to complete the look. So I actually did the reverse swap. White fill on mine. But the pips were always an issue. I think I my might convert my 116610LN to blueberry for a bit. good find KJ2020

Do you think this will be slightly darker than the current VSF Smurf 116619LB insert

? Because the insert I have currently is a just a shade lighter than the dial.

And fitted! Looks good, though I had to use a little gs hypo to keep it in.
Looks good with the molotow paint and a good coat of carnuba wax. mod.

Really hard to make good pictures of it but the colour has more depth and the markers are definitely much much better compare to the insert a bought from a renowned eBay seller for
40$

I like it! I would like to buy one too.
I'd like to have fun replacing it myself though, where can I find a guide on how to replace the bezel on the 116610?
However if it requires good craftsmanship (which I don't have), I'll get my watch to do the job.

Clark's aftermarket 295 gaskets are good quality and will fit. If you can measure the gasket height accurately it might save you a few bucks on a wrong order. Otherwise I would buy both a 2.85mm and a 2.7mm tall gasket. It should be one of those.
