The watch looked good but I had to reject it because the clear sticker on the case back wasn't gen like at all.
With everything they get right, they go ahead and and try and push this garbage on us. I know Rolex makes a sticker that's intentionally difficult to make but that's no excuse.
The color is off. The size of the little green half moon is off. Terrible.

Comparing to my ARF jubilee it feels very, very soft, even without any oil or lubricant. No squeaks. Just an overall shock at the difference. I'm trying to be as objective as possible without falling prey to supporting one factory over the other, mind you.

I'm not sure what you're saying. And the pics don't really show us the position of the crown so we can't (or I can't) see if it's out of position.
I'm curious though about the symbols Rolex uses on the crown.
Two dots is supposed to mean the two positions.
On sports models you have three dots indicating triplock for the 3 positions of the triplock crown.
Most Datejusts have the line under the crown. Regardless of whether it's SS or two tone. It used to be simple 3 dots with the size of the dot indicating the material for sports models. Which I know a DJ is not. But some sort of coherent system would be nice.

I don't know if you know but crown position doesnt matter, its random also on gens, important thing is that it is screwed down.

I saw youe post of the vsf and arf. From the looks of it case looks more refine but pictures sometimes are tricky. What are you thoughts now that you have both cases next to each other? Also looking for the end result kf your project.
Vsf is a bit better than ARF in shaping to me but nothing special. Arf is closer to gen regarding case and bezel for the older model with no crown at 6 o'clock especially if you have older batch
