Has anyone had a love / hate relationship with the Submariner 41? I love how it looks but can't stop noticing how hefty and heavy it is in the wrist.

I don't have super thick wrists and the watch is either too tight or too lose, making it slide up and down hit into my wrist.

I've had dozens of other reps before which were notably more comfortable. Older 4/5 digit Subs, Daytona, explorer etc.

All seem to wear better and more comfortable than the 41. I put it on the scale and it's not a huge difference to a gmt 146 vs 162grams, but it just feels heavy.

Any thoughts?

I don't have super thick wrists and the watch is either too tight or too lose, making it slide up and down hit into my wrist.

Agreed. My 116610 (also 41mm) sits so omfortable on the wrist. Especially with the slide link adjustment it's always the right tightness

I agree. Especially when it’s hot. It may be the best rep, but it’s not the best gen to begin with. It’s a heavy, large, blingy watch which feels and looks just a bit too obvious on the wrist. It cannot compare with the 11610 which was perfect. I don’t like wearing a watch high up on the wrist, it feels wrong and I’ll never do it - I prefer it a bit loose and down past the knuckle.

Oh I mean the case size proportions, my gen 6 digit 40mm fits my wrist better than my 41 VSF. Weird eh? Also, not like I have small wrists either. 8 inch wrists...

I have an 8" wrist and I think it fits very comfortably. I have no other subs to compare to, but plenty of other watches and I don't find it to be worse than any of my other watches.

Well, I do, and for me my 40mm's are more comfortable. But 8" wrists are not the same, mine is round - some are flat, we all vary. It's not going to be a uniform experience. But even my gen LB 40 mm (which is gold) wore better... and it was heavier due to gold.

This is easy, the original one have no plastic on the bracelet.
