I don't remember seeing TD pictures and being more impressed seeing them in person though? And these are the ones that are given in particular to TDs to show off the best of the best of their batch. Watches you get tend to get worse than the promotional photos. So I disagree, this is literally what they have to offer.

There's many examples of TD being given prototypes so that they can put the watches on their website before they are actually manufactured. And in these case the actual watches can be better

Noob v9 1st batch had a perfect case.
And this ZF is only a watch sent to TD for photos, TD*s always get the good watch but when costumers buy it's not the same.

So TD’s get some kind of better version to photograph for their website? But they send out worse ones? Quite the accusation. You have any proof of that? Surely if they wanted to be misleading they would simply retouch their images - but they don’t do that either...

Noob fix at launch, and then they let the production fall off over time. Maybe so it can be ‘fixed’ again for the next release. They are wildly inconsistent probably due to raids.

I’m sorry this is a ‘nightmare’ for you. Its a just a replica watch - I really don’t understand the trauma this is causing some folks. There are many alternatives with even more arriving soon.

Btw, in the gen rolex world, tight SEL does not mean absolutely no gap. It's possible to have tight SEL with a slight gap, given that there is slight uneveness.

Exactly! In all the years buying/wearing gen I had never really scrutinized things like SEL or alignment. Getting into the rep game is an eye opener and brought me to gen forums where we are fussing about the same flaws.
