I would love to join the club. Am looking for a Black 126660. After several hours of reading I am still quite confused. Am I correct in thinking I should be looking for a Noob V10? Are these still available?

I've noticed references to ARF and APF. Are those different two different factories?

Noob v10 can only be obtained M2M.
ARF and APF are not the same.

So if I am looking to purchase something new from one of the TDs, is my best option to see if I can get a modded watch from BK?

Honestly, that's up to you, based on what you like and what ticks the most important boxes. My personal opinion, if I were to buy a new DSSD from a TD right now, based on what is available, the BPF 136660 would be my choice. It does have an A3235 movement in it, so I'd let it run till it explodes and then install either a Seagull ST or gen ETA2836. The BPF is certainly not perfect, but it's good. You'll find it listed on Trusty, and there are pics on it one or two pages back.

With the quality of clone movements nowadays, I'm holding out for a new release 12 or 13 with a VS/VR, so that I can mod it with genuine parts. Could be waiting a while...

Are the BPs still available? I thought they are all long gone?

In May, Andrew from TT told me this is currently available:
He told me that ARF is not. CTime have only the CSF. I didn't enquire with any other TDs.

interesting... from pics would appear a not great 1st rep of the 136660...wonky pearl, short minute hand, questionable colors... with Noob and ARF out of the game, hopefully CleanFactory or VSF will launch the end-all, ultimate JC DSSD (be it 126660 or 136660) at some time in near future. Thanks for sharing this link

Dial color of BP 126660 was very close to Gen - better than noob or ARF, both noob and ARF were too dark. BP 126660 also had too short minute hand and ring around Perl but dial was very close.
I’m guessing color of BP 136660 is same.

Agree - the pearl is crap, all hands are wrong, and it still has a bracelet extension (may or may not be easy to remove, depending on the compatibility of the bracelet link with the clasp). It also has the wrong case back and fastening ring. The rest of the case looks pretty good to me, the OVEG RLS text aligns nicely, and I think the dial looks good.
If you can live with an ETA/ETA-based movement, and replace the insert and find better hands, I reckon it's a good rep from the front.
Desperate for a higher-end factory to produce either the 12 or 13 JC! But we all know it will contain at least one flaw. They always do - keeps us spending $$.

“it still has a bracelet extension” ~ SS72 so the Gen 126660/136660 do not have a dive extension mechanism? If the case, something I missed in viewing both several times over the years ..thanks for confirming ~

Placed an order with Steve for an ARF 126660 Black. He did say that it's available but the wait could be a month...or more. We shall see⌚👀

noob v10 fixed coloring vs prior iterations... BP dial colors superior?

The looks very nice.
There were comparasuon pics by one of RWI members between BP and Gen and BP dial color and gradient was pretty much the same or extremely similar. DEEPSEA writing was just slightly lighter than Gen.

Once again that noob v10 looks nice but everyone I talk to about Noob including new versions says noob dial is too dark comparing to gen but all deep blue reps have flaws so enjoy your v10. It looks great.

I am going to buy a Deepsea 126660 and am trying to decide which one is the best. choose between these

DeepSea Dweller 126660 44mm SS/SS Blue/Black CSF VR3235

DeepSea Dweller 126660 SS/SS Blue V9F VR3235

Deep Sea Dweller 126660 904L SS/SS Blue ARF

which has the best class and what should you choose

They each have their strengths and weaknesses. My suggestion is to get as many high resolution images of genuine blue/black 126660s as you need to see each visible part of the watch. Do the same with the reps you're considering. Note the points on each that are close to gen vs not. Then figure out which of the 'Not' you can live with, or modify to correct - if they can indeed be modded (swapped).

The movement is another matter. All you need to know is here:
