Tried to make payments to puretime from 2 debit cards last month. A couple of days later my bank card got blocked. I contacted the bank and they told me a scammer tried 2 test payments so they blocked my card and have sent me a new card.

But today 2 payments were taken out of my bank from my other card! 1 payment was £207.20 for AMOMA.COM HOTELS GENEVA! And the other payment was £2,307.12 to UNIVERSAL ORLANDO US!!

Will never ever use any "TRUSTED" dealer without paypal again.

ouch. that's terrible, sorry to hear that. Does your bank offer fraud protection?

I guess that's why the seasoned forum members recommend against using credit cards, let alone a debit card, for rep purchases.

Had the same happening with puretime. I've never used the card apart from that one transaction with puretime. But roughly 10 months after that transaction, the card was charged 3 times, each amounting to about 300 dollars (i believe it was "Facebook payments".
I got all my money back. But it was also the last time I gave the Chinese my cc details

Happened to me when I booked a ticket on an airline site from Vietnam....and it's a pain to correspond with the card company and get things resolved. Waste of a lot of time. Sorry this happened to you.

Yes my bank said the payments will be reversed next week. I need to check through all my bank statements from 1 year ago because that was when i very first used puretime. Nightmare

Hopefully all is well. if i were you I would get the bank to issue a new card. No unnecessary worry in the future.

One should not use debit cards for such purposes. Or even CCs. It is unlikely that the gen puretime would scam - but a fake puretime or the payment processor. Good to know that fraudulent debits will be resolved for you and I agree that this is a nightmare.

Thanks for the advice. I've made countless payments using CC to AliExpress, Taobao and DHgate for a couple of years now. so far no issue.
That's why i use CC for PT payment. Now that you guys have highlight this, it makes me worry,
I now realize the payment platform for PT is much different than the ones that i have used before.
There are additional cost charged (in Yuan to my Bank) which is much more higher and that is before exchange rates (convert to US$ and then to my local currency)
It is not so with AliExpress, Taobao and DHGate.

It's not the dealers, I had the same with intime, used them for a couple of purchases without issue, then I tried another order and couldn't get the CC payment through on their website, so just left it as I wasn't particularly bothered, about 3 weeks later I noticed on my statement that 2 payments of around £180 each had been made to an online fashion store. I contacted my CC company who had already blocked the card for suspicious activity, and was issued with a full refund.
thats the good thing with using a credit card. It must be down the the credit card processors the dealers use

It it has certainly put me off using a credit card again and to a certain extent put me off the whole buying from China just because of the hassle involved

First of all we do not collect your CC info, even PureTime gets hacked and your CC info is safe. I had the same conversation with the CC processor last year and they told me they now do not store the CC info either in their database (it's what they told me), I strongly advice everyone to use gift credit card on replica web-sites and you only put value into the card when you need to use it.

Or please use Bitcoin for your payment, it is good for both parties.

And the good thing is we can get the payments reversed, hope this doesnt happen again.

Yes i dont think it is puretime hacking my card, im just letting people know that their payment system now isnt safe to use. So i think something should be changed to prevent this. Like letting all customers use paypal or something that we are covered for. I wont be using any cards for any future purchases now, paypal the only way for me

Living in Indonesia and using online payment methodes often I had to learn the hard way but with my experience, I would suggest always to use Paypal when you want to use your credit card for a online payment in Asia. I don't use Bitcoin myself but I saw a news-item last week that blew my mind, stating that the South Korean government employs specialists to do cyber attacks and steal money to fund their weapons program. I would be aware using bitcoin also.

Sure, but they will try everything . And South Korea surely doesn't steal from his own people.

haha bro it's the North Korean who are doing it. You had a typo on your first post, you typed "South Korean government employs specialists......"
