Yes. I have to agree the grey dial looks closer to the gen blue dial. There's a tint of blue in the ppf grey version and ironically making it closer to the ppf blue version to the gen.

I found blue and grey side by side...light is not the best but just to see differences

The blue dial have been edited in Photoshop... (not your fault or your doing I know that) but don't trust this pic in your comparison, even if it shows quite well the difference between the two dials

Yes seems a bit strange! I hope to get both as soon in my hands

You shouldn’t consider the “Gray Dial” definition like a rep of the Gen 5711 White Gold with Gray Dial... this dial is far away from the gen Gray! Totally different.. Gen hasn’t any kind of colours...just shades of gray.

This PPF “Gray dial” is just another “blue” version, made better.

I can bet that there isn’t any shade of purple or blue in that gray dial - just pure gray.
Pictures are very deceiving just like ppf blue dial everyone was freaking out it’s a purple dial.

I think and I hope that too!

It would be great if that purple in real life (like happened to the blue one) it's a shade of blue :D

Just found this video...Uploaded yesterday..

Translating the title with "google translate" it says "[New Color] Gray-Blue Nautilus"...Could it be an update or simply the gray version?

Not bad at all

http://www.cloudyouku.com/video/?vid=XNDIzMzA1Mjg4OA==

So I took the time to really dive into this. If they did update the dial, it looks good, but it still suffers from the 'purple hue in artificial light' that the blue dial has.

Here's two screenshots from that vid:

And here's screenshots from videos uploaded in the past week on youku too of the gray dial:

But the new one, and the one from last week; are they the same dial?

After watching the video in the main ppf thread for the first time i thought "wtf its the gray version", but after comparing it with other videos, pics etc. i think its a new dial, without the light purple but with more green-gray. might be a blue v2....

Anyways, i ll hope i have my gray version in hands by monday to check all the colors inside....

received the gray version today, first impression: the gray is a pretty dark gray and - comparing photos & videos - pretty similiar to the gray dial of the 5711G, old 3700 etc. BUT under direct light, sunshine etc. you can see the light purpleish, tiny little bit brownish glimer of the dial. overall the dial is grayer than i thought it would be (td & qc photos), which is a good thing, because i wanted it as dark as possible (too bad pf does not make 5711s with pure black dials ;) )

i ll make some photos, but there are already a lot of photos which dont give you the rl impression above ;)

i have no clue about pf gens but the overall quality afai feel and see is good: clasp not too hard and not too easy to open, the ceramic balls are still inside, dw could be a tiny tiny little bit more on the right (but its pretty genlike: the date of the gen is imho also not perfectly centered in the window) - overall: good purchase & happy ;)

Great to hear, looking forward to your pics :) WRT the ball bearings and the pins that hold the clasp, I would advise to get them glued as a safety measure, believe me it's very frustrating when you lose them...

Agreed with Tobel. One wrist shot in the sun would be great. :)

I'm waiting for the correct bleu dial. perhaps PPF v2 . Oh ….. yes i know. The dials are very hard to photograph, it is difficult to capture the "magic" in the shot
