The question is, will they be gen spec in terms of the case size (38mm)?

And will they be 11mm thick? ;) But in general it's very good news!

I guess VSF is ready to use their Omega 8500 clone movement in different watches, so can we expect more Luminor due to come out in the near future kobe24 ?

I certainly hope so. I'm dying for a PAM676 (42mm), or a 674 (45mm).

+1 on the 674, but it's a different movement (with micro-rotor) therefore it's not very likely to be repped. SF was the only one who tried to with PAM572 but it appears it has been a one-off effort...

Yeah - it's a shame they went to the effort of cloning the P.4000 movement then didn't really do anything with it, besides the 572. I'm just hoping there's a bunch of unused movements lying around somewhere that someone wants to use up.

Being that SF is kind of the "movement factory", often supplying other makers, it wouldn't be such a stretch...

it's a low beat non-hacking movement (and the gen is 28.8 with hacking) so i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't sell as well as they hoped because of that. I like mine though, I'm wearing it right now.

Real watch pics....:(

I sincerely doubt that's 38mm. Nobody's wrist is THAT small for the lugs to still go over the sides of the wrist. I think that's a 44mm case. Especially if you consider how thick the watch is. 17.5mm, that's as thick as a PAM312 and very far from the gen's 11.2mm thickness.

I think you're right -- a tad disappointing. BUT, if I may play devil's advocate, Panerai is all about the look, the feel and the vibe.

If this is trying to rep a 38mm model with a 44mm case, the replication aspect of this build is junk. But if it is taking the design cues of the 38mm and putting it into a 44mm watch, then stylistically it might be a nice addition to the collection.

To put it another way, I'd have no interest in the 756 in either a gen or well-replicated form. I might have an interest if its executed in 44mm ...

Looks decent, I do wish they got the blue leather color correct though...
