I have a bronze Bell & Ross incoming and just read this whole thread. Amazing.
But after that I googled creating patina and found this site:

I have a new 382. And the finish is obviously new. I am not looking to accelerate any patina process but is there anything I can do to sort of guide the patina process along? To make sure it goes in the right direction?
Is there anything I need to know about how to care for the Bronzo? I attached a Pic of the patinas I like (isis Thomas pics) and og my Bronzo.

Use it every day for 3 months and you are there.
Or
Use ammonia. In a cup placed in Tupperware with a closed lid. Let the fumes do the work. Check every 60 min.
If it gets too dark you just rinse it off with vinegar, salt & flour mixed together in a paste. Sounds crazy but it works great.

IMHO - "fondle it " . LOL. Truth is that touching it frequently will make it get to that nice copper penny worn look pretty quickly. Easy way is while you are watching tv or relaxing, tumble it around in your hands. I did that with mine and within a week it was already developing a worn look. You can always use the egg trick and keep it in there for a shorter time, but at min, I recommend the unscientific handling method.

That's crazy. Like absolutely crazy. Sometimes life is hard and it asks a lot of us. Wear the same watch every day for 3 months? Talk about "slumin' it".
(Before anyone thinks I'm serious.. I'm not. Just kidding.)
You said put it in ammonia. How long? Until I get the desired results? Will it happen that quickly and is there a delayed reaction? Like if I take it out, will look patina change over the next 12 hours or 30 days type of thing?
I probably prefer to just wear it. And handle it. I live right by the ocean so will that help at all? Maybe wash my hands and saltwater once? Does that do anything?
I know that's a lot of questions. Thanks.

See, that's the type of guidance looking to give it. Maybe inch it along a little bit but I don't want to wake up tomorrow and have it done. I like taking the long way. Am I reply way to bother I asked about saltwater. I live right by the ocean. Should I let it take a quick saltwater bath? One a week, 1 a month? Would that even help/matter?
It's weird because it's like the opposite of all my other watches, where I try to keep them as clean as possible. It might be tough to get used to. Lol.
