This thread is a summary of Panerai "super reps" from the AMAZING Reference PAM REVIEW-GUIDE. Big thank you to ALE7575 and team for putting the information together!!

Sometimes you just want an executive summary of the currently best available Panerai watches. I'll try to keep this thread updated as new information is released.

The only reps that make it into this summary are "super reps." Watches that are below this quality will not be listed, so you can feel confident that every rep in this thread will be of the best, current production quality. This means that "first class rep" and "bordering super rep" will NOT be included!

IMPORTANT Nearly all of these Panerai Super Reps are over $300 USD. You get what you pay for! If you're searching for a specific model recommended here and you see it in the $100 or $200 range, you're probably looking at the wrong watch. Please use an RWI trusted dealer (TD) when finding a rep!

To simplify the exact recommendation I will only list the absolutely best, current productions. Often each PAM rep will have multiple "super reps," but one is slightly better than the other. I will list the current productions sorted by the best quality.

For example:

In this case factory 1 would be slightly better than factory 2. In the case where both factories are of equal quality, I will list them as such:

Please note that this is my personal opinion and doesn't represent that other choices are incorrect! After all this is all about personal opinion.

If you're brand new to replicas and want "the best Panerai," just start with the PAM 411. They're beautiful, well made, great A6497 movement, and they're easy to find through a trusted dealer (TD). Don't worry, within a couple of months you'll want to buy another Panerai anyway. They're addictive!

• If you like a very clean look I recommend the PAM 000, PAM 112, or the PAM 390.
• If you like a very clean look, but prefer to have a seconds hand I recommend the PAM 005 or the PAM 111.
• If you want to add a date, I recommend the PAM 104 or PAM 299.
• If you want a GMT, I recommend the PAM 029.
• If you want a chronograph I recommend the PAM 288.
• If you want a power reserve, the only real option is the PAM 057. Good luck finding one. Try Davidsen.
• If you like titanium, I recommend the PAM 117, PAM 176, or the PAM 177.
• If you don't want to wind your watch every day, get an automatic. I recommend the PAM 104 and PAM 164.

Please keep in mind that this list doesn't represent the ONLY Panerai watches you should ever buy. My all-time personal favorites are the PAM 441 and PAM 326 which don't even make the cut of a "super rep." Choose a watch based on your own personal tastes!

REMEMBER: Once you buy a Panerai, it's a disease. You'll end up buying more!

Why recommend only Noob when the other factories can produce the same reps? That's a bias IMHO, and goes against the spirit of the guide. I do applaud the intention behind the thread but going with a "default" maker is not something I would agree with.

I went back and added other versions that had equal production quality. So now instead of only a single production, there may be two listed. However the vast majority of super reps the Noob factory had the edge according to the Reference PAM REVIEW-GUIDE.

The PAM 388 is listed as a FIRST CLASS REP.

I don't have any up-to-date information on the PAM 622!

Most of the open caseback Pams with deco plates will never get Super rep status as it will never be 1:1 or very close like the 6497s. Therefore, they would probably get a First Class at best. That said, they look really good and gen like on the wrist for e.g the 441 and 569.

Opps yeah my bad. Was never a fan of the bulky subs till i laid eyes upon the 569. The 508 is also a good choice with closed cb too. Unfortunately, i just cant rock it on my puny wrist.

Great cliff notes version of the PAM Guide. You list the 411 as your favorite, but only the case back is different for the 411-420 models. Choosing one over the other is purely a matter of taste. There are discussions on which back is best, but I feel this part is very subjective. Thanks for putting this together.
