So I understand that most of the vsf v2's out there has a slight yellowish/greenish hour markers due to factory errors. Is there an anticipated date of them fixing the issue any time soon? How long after did the VSF v2 get released after the VSF v1? I really want a VSF Seamaster but I am reluctant due to the color of the markers. Is it worth waiting around for a v3?

No. Get it now. The VSF V2 is a wonderful watch and it’s worth every penny. Also the “yellowish” lume is a non issue, in real life the markers are white and looks white.

Buy it now. The luke is fine. Only certain lighting it looks yellowish, but so does the gen apparently as well. In most lighting its white. Great watch

Gotcha gotcha. But just out of curiosity. What was the length of time between the v1 and v2 release?

The gen never looks like the rep lume buddy! I should know I’ve had 3 of them and the gen never has the crappy greeny/yellow lume of the VSF sadly!

I have never seen a gen in the flesh. however there are plenty of pics online where gen also has yellow/creamy lume. maybe not to the extend the rep has. theres also n video posted recently in the original VSF seamaster 300m thread that also highlites that. but I believe you since you had three of them. would you say yours had perfect pure white lume? never a yellow tint ever in any lighting? and do you have the rep, or only see the crappy lume pics of the rep?

I’ve had the blue dial, black dial and grey dial in gen and all had crisp white lume in daylight whereas the vsf’s are never crisp white in the same conditions. I’ve also had 2 vsf reps so I do know what I’m talking about. You can never judge anything by pictures as white balance etc throws out the real colour tone.
Too many on here are quick to say things purely looking at adjusted online pics!
When the lume is charged on both the rep and gen in certain conditions they will look similar but that wasn’t the original complaint. Many including me commented that even in daylight the vsf lume has what I would call greeny/yellow colour tone because vsf have used a blended mix of lume.

Here are my pics of gen black and grey dial in different lighting. Never do they look anything but white.

botsyboy do you perhaps have any comments regarding the size of CG between VSF and gen? Are they the same size?

The cg is a little shorter on the vsf but also the vsf crown is longer than the gen which amplifies the problem!

My vsf v2 with quite white looking lume. The lume glow is so powerful that it only takes a bit of shade to see it glowing and maybe people mistake this effect for a greenish lume. I held it up against a gen in the window of an AD and the gen did have crisper white lume dots but if no side by side comparison it would be difficult for anyone to notice.

I actually saw the white dialled gen in person the other day against the other versions and I do have to say that it had a greenier lume in daylight than the normal crisp white of the others. Omega may have done this deliberately to offset against the white dial so the vsf version of that one is probably spot on.

This is a recent one from VSF. Is this a new variation of the flaw. The lume color of the makers look very white. However, the lume color of the hands look slightly green-ish white?
botsyboy How do you think as a gen owner?
Thanks.

I mentioned above post as a specific concern which is related to the OP’s topic.

That doesn’t look good as far as mismatch of lume. I’d ask for some other images to check but I would not accept that in qc.
