I am disappointed right now. Mine arrived but to a wrong country and to wrong receiver...so it will take an extra week to get it. And I am receiving a wrong watch in the coming days. Has not happened to me before, something not worth experiencing

I've had this one for about 48 hours. I'm pretty happy with it except for one major flaw that I noticed yesterday and now it's the only thing I see. I wonder if anyone else can spot it but probably not in these pics. The light has to hit it just right. I also have the AT GMT with same 8605 superclone movement and synchronized both with the app in the last picture about 48 hours ago. The PO GMT has gained about 5 secs in that time while the AT GMT has lost about 80 seconds. I've been wearing the PO GMT while the AT GMT has been resting on its side the entire time (if that makes a difference).

No that's just a shadow and the angle of the pic, it's well centered. The problem is the applied Omega logo is lifted up on the O and M, so is the 1 on the 12. Hopefully won't be too hard to flatten out when I get around to taking it apart.

How accurate is the blue - is it on the dark side? I've got a black dial with silver markers, same deal with the 1 and 2 in the twelve; they're not applied exactly flat on the dial. Only a problem when light is shining directly on them, like you said, not a big deal. But, I'd like to get an idea of how correct the blue dial is before buying one.

More pics and initial impressions to follow once I have a bit more time. What I can say at this point is that I'm impressed - very impressed.

​​​​​​OK as promised initial impressions - Quality, heavy, solid - did I mention quality?

This is a great watch and a great rep. The small 'tells' that initially concerned me when looking at TD images (engraved triangle etc.) really don't exist in reality - any issues are miniscule and I'm guessing most would be hard pushed to discern side by side with the gen.

The dial really 'pops' with the orange numerals and the crystal really highlights this - flawlessly clear, next to my old 42mm V6f (3 years old, decorated miyota) it really shows the older of the two up. Whereas the V6f would only really come alive on a sunny day or under optimum lighting the GMT seems to catch even the smallest glimmer of light and amplify it - in a good way. The glossy dial is a deep jet black and makes the matt v6f appear washed out. Any bad points? Only one - it makes me love my 42mm just a little less.

So am I selling my old v6f? - short answer, no. The GMT is an amazing watch but it's a Big Watch - as an occasional piece it's fantastic, as an everyday watch I believe it would quickly become tiresome. Despite only being 1.5mm larger and roughly the same taller than the 42mm PO it wears quite a bit larger. I'm glad I discovered this with the rep as this had been my grail for a long time - I think omega will have to get my money another way (possibly an older generation gmt seamaster ).

As such I'll keep both and save the GMT for the days you need a Big Watch and the 42mm can keep its place as my daily wear. If your not put off by the size and like the design I thoroughly recommend you give this watch a look - I hope this post helps some of you on the fence with your decision.

I don't know why VSf are forced buyer to buy metal strap, I hate that...
