Honest Review (Seamaster 300 Spectre)

Thanks to the Movie,
this got to be one of the most well known omega watch for 2016
was about to purchase the Gen. got out bid couple times.
decide to get the Rep. first.

Ordered from Pure
arrived considerably fast.

first glimpse was stunning on the watch.
but the Nato strap... what a disaster...

- Stitching was so off. not even straight. missing holes as well...
buckles was however good quality.
just shows how much they don't care when the strap when it was being made...

- Case, was good, dial, lumen, recessed markings. awesome

- Bezel, this is where after couple hours, then I noticed...
the 9, 8 & 7 marking are off to the left by 1 min.........
what a careless mistake... they must spaced from the 10 and screwed it up.
however. the bezel is high glass finish. not really that noticeable.
and, as bond. you can always put the 5 to the top, so, it's actually pass.

- the movement is where got really impressed.
they were actually able to match the serial number on the case to the movement.
this is like the first time I see a Rep. actually done that.

Overall, Satisfied. I got the Gen. Strap afterward.
give it a 8.8 / 10. would be good if they can fix the Bezel. than it will be an awesome Rep.

Congrats on the beautiful piece ! Personally i think the only big issue with this is an easy fix - the spring bars should be curved and not straight. The curved ones make it so much more comfortable to wear !

It's hard to tell from your pics but is the dial textured like gen? The pic you posted looks flat without texture but it could be the lighting and pic.

How is the lume?

the dial texture is pretty legit, number and markings are recessed.
will try to do more clear pictures.

the main downfall of this watch is the bezel, on some luminous conditions it becomes totally black you don't even see the numbers. nothing close to the real ceramic bezel imo

When freshly "lit" the lume is spellbinding paired with black and grey color combo of the bezel.

To all owners of this rep, keep in mind there is a near-gen NATO strap available that is miles beyond the stock one.

By the way I don't know what the stock NATO is like, how it's materials are and all that, I just know the aftermarket strap is better than the one that came with the rep. PhenomeNato.com

Idk about the bezel color but i think it s pretty close to the gen ?
Here s a gen one - as you can see under some lights it s also pretty hard to make out the bezel numbers
