Help in CONUS with my 6542?

I was planning on using my TS Station 6542 (AKA Project Snakebit) as a basis to teach myself to mod. Unfortunately, my bad luck with US Customs continues, as I just had a Ruby's gilt Red GMT dial seized (you can read about the whole damn saga here: https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...94911-my-star-crossed-snakebit-ts-6542-review).

In short, I'm raising the white flag on this one. Since I'm on some kind of list and can't receive parts from out of the country, I'm looking for a CONUS-based modder who is willing to source and install a gilt dial (preferably a red GMT, but any gilt would do), a Viet 6251 Jubilee, and sand down the bezel to bring out the brass a little bit.

My search for a 6542 is what brought me to the forums. I love the 6542, and the drama I've had with mine has made me all the more connected to it. I'm really determined to take this watch to the next level. Any help here (any takers, suggestions, info of people who might want to take this on, etc.) would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance, guys.

Damn bro, you sure have been through it with customs and this watch project. So sorry to hear about it, what a nightmare.

Regarding the movement, many of the rep ones are indeed filthy and dry and can be made good again with a service. Have a look at this video and see if it's something you would be interested in doing. It's what the movement needs. The GMT has a few extra pieces, so take pics of every part you remove to make it easier.

If all else fails, these are good quality replacements

Both are currently out of stock, but check back those are the best sources.

I don't normally take mailed work, but I'm a watchmaker in the Denver area. I can help you with the movement if you can't find anyone local, or if you are local you're welcome to bring it by. PM me if you need to. I can't help you with the lug reshaping, etc.
