Congrats, but why? I bet the ZF is 90% as close to gen. I have the Muhammad Ali version and wouldn't consider a gen aside from the strap.

Why? Because I wanted to own this watch as gen. Sometimes a man has to do stupid things in his life... ????

Bought the gen today, I couldn't resist this beauty. Well also buy the rep and then post a compare thread in the next weeks.

I thought these bad boys were limited.
Where did you purchase the gen from. New, pre owned?
I was thinking of getting used

Yes, but limited to 1500 pieces. That's a lot for this special kind of pilot.

Bought new at my local AD.

Hi members herein. I’m looking to add this watch to my bronze collection. Are we quite certain it’s definitely bronze and not plated SS or some other alloy? Can anyone show a patinaed sample, please?

This will take some weeks, because the patina will not appear over night...

How do I make space for the bronzo? Having a serious 1st world problem here.

Got the IWC bronzo love it but had to get a new strap since the factory one was way too short mounted it on my new strap and have been wearing for almost a week now
Platina has developed nicely and that factory shine almost gone
Nice addition imo
I would recommend

Mine arrived just a couple of days ago. I own watches with different alloys of bronze, but I’ve not seen any quite like this IWC. Look more like yellow gold than bronze. I don’t doubt that it is real bronze though. I got that much assurance from my TD. Even if is turns out to be otherwise, this is still a very beautiful watch in itself. The color of the case almost matches the dial markers making the latter pop in a very nice way. Love the blue edged hands as well.

Looks like this alloy has higher percentage of alluminium so it is lighter in colour and resists to darken and get patinized quickly...about fact it is real bronze I have no doubts either...

distinguished members of other watch fora gave proof it is best to darken watch with fresh, natural and (almost) inexhaustible source. ;)

bugger.... threads on crown AND tube got fucked up only after 2 weeks of use... bad material, could it be? I am always careful when screwing crown on all watches... TD ordered pair of it to replace, for now whole watch replacement was not mentioned as option... as said... bugger...
