Won't the polished surface of the bronze rep just acquire patina anyway and change over time?

Which makes the polished finish... An Oddity . , they did mix in some aluminum with the bronze to make the case, maybe aluminum prevents patina.

Then I suppose the rep would age differently than the gen. Surely the maker of the rep case wouldn't have incorporated aluminum into the bronze alloy in similar proportion to the gen bronze. It will be very interesting to see how the patina develops on these.

considering bronzo is a very limited production, we won't be seeing how gen develops patina.
the diameter and thickness are wrong on reps on expedition series to begin with..
I think i would prefer the work on that.
Anwyay, I asked puretime if they would ask China to rep this.. lets see what happens.
Mean while.. i ordered the IWC bronze hertiage. QC pictures look solid.

Initial impression of the IWC Pilot Bronze.
Case has much more shine to it than I expected. Looks more yellow gold than bronze, and its polished so it looks gold-ish.
i have 16.75 cm circumference, and watch fits little too big... oh well. gigantic watch.

money well spent... now I have to sell something else or buy a bigger watch case with more slots.

Im debating on ordering a Jacobs but his does not have bronze rivets

Congrats, but why? I bet the ZF is 90% as close to gen. I have the Muhammad Ali version and wouldn't consider a gen aside from the strap.
