And I suppose you need some kind of added part, probably the blue cable we see, to make it work, can you please give us info on this as I have been wanting one for a long time but spending 100 or more just for that seemed a little steep for what it is. This low beat mod is pretty traditional but how did you decide to do this? Do the benefits outweigh the costs on this mod?

I've never really understood why the AP reps don't just use the low beat 2813 they use in the cheap Rolex reps as their base. Cheap Rolex reps beating at 21k are frowned upon because the real Rolex ones are 28k. But the 2813 is a pretty solid tank in those cheap reps. Why don't the AP's just start with the low beat 2813?

Hello all - This is my first post ever. I want to purchase the absolute best AP Diver Rep that is available. I have heard InTime and PureTime (not sure which dealer is better???) are the two best dealers. I am looking at these two watches:

They are priced differently because on is a v7 and the other a v8.

They have different movements.

If you're willing to put down 700, why not look for prof and get him to do his magic on the v7 with double ar.
Plus with the v7 you'll be getting a reliable movement without the noisy motor of the miyota on the v8.
To me personally the v7 crystal is good enough as I like a bit of light reflection at some angles.

Nope, double ar is a mod.
I would say that v7 is pretty close to gen in date wheel and maybe crystal as in gen they only have single ar.
You can take a look at the ap thread at those out of the box v7.
They look pretty amazing
