Hey, so I guess the site is back online, but my post count is way down. I finally got to fifty posts so I could sell and trade some watches I hadn't been wearing, but now I'm back. Is there anyone I can talk to about this or am I screwed?

Hey guys. i just got back online. This is all just newly setup, so there's still gonna be bumps and humps here and there.
I am noticing that maybe along with your post count that a backup was restored, for whatever reason, from an older date or whatever date they had for backups here. We're missing like 3 or 4 weeks worth of posts.
I'm happy that the newer software is up and running; I think what's most important is that the forum is back online, even with it's highly needed renovation
We even still have the sci fi links
***THIS just in: we did restore from an older backup. All the newer backups was a no-go (you know if we could, we would). THe siteAdmin spent the entire weekend trying to get it to work to no avail Poor guy so i give him props for at least getting us back on our toes.

possibly not. i'm under the assumption that the recent backups got fubar'ed. In any regards, i wouldnt start any repsales yet until everything seems back to normal, but if any of you guys that are missing the post count that you had previously required for the repsales, PM any of the mods about it so we can make the proper preps fro the repsales.

Sorry but yes, everything did have to be reverted back to the week of the 10th.. had some corruption with the database that couldn't be reverted.. believe me.. I tried. As for the look and feel, that will be a work in progress, but at the moment, everything is working.. I have to thank everyone that contributed in the last couple months when we changed the contribute link because without you, this wouldn't have been possible.
Hopefully we will have plenty of themes for you to choose from, and we will install mods (as they become available) on all of them, that way our users can pick and choose the way they want it to look.

no apologies needed. this is a difficult job (and unpaid for!). everyone should look at the glass half full.
