Hey guys I have searched all over every forum that I can look up this answer to and I can't seem to find a solid opinion on the ability to put a Gen dial bezel crystal etc. on either the dd2 or the dj2 models particularly from noob factory. And from my personal experience the only thing that keeps me from being a very very very good replica are the poorly cut date windows therefore I would only be looking for a gen date wheel overlay and dial can anyone provide any insight into this also will the noob accept gen crystal thanks

The problem with the DJ2/DD2 is they are just too new to be able to buy gen parts. Since Rolex is tightly controlling new parts and requesting all the old parts be sent back to the factory, where would you get any parts for frankening even it they did fit.

I asked the same question on here from a member. I am told that you would have to change the feet in order to replace the rep dial to a gen dial.

I asked the same question on here from a member. I am told that you would have to change the feet in order to replace the rep dial to a gen dial. Also, I am told by one of the trusted dealers that the bezel will interchange with the gen bezel. That's all that I know about modding a DJ II.

My guess is the dial could be made to work. That would be the easy part. The rest is more of a question mark.

It's been told to me that because the Rolex movement is different than an eta or eta clone, a gen rolex dial won't fit properly with it's feet on top of the eta movement. A Tudor dial would work, but they always have a different size. (36mm DJ vs 35mm oysterdate ect).
The reps we get are using eta style movements so they won't work properly without being jerry-rigged.
Best bet honestly, either stick with a rep, and accept that it won't be flawless or snag an old tudor oysterdate. Rolex perfection at 1/5th the cost. That's what I did.

As much as I like and appreciate your nice Tudor Franken, nobody building frankens cares about dial feet. That's all part of building a franken watch. We all know those are different. If the dial fits inside the case, the rest is an easy fix. What's important in a franken is the dial size, the crystal, bezel, bezel insert, bracelet, case, and case back are equivalent. We all know the dial isn't going to fit on an ETA movement unless the original watch used an ETA movement. And we all know the date wheel isn't going to be the same unless the watch used the same brand movement.

I know this is not the exact model I was questioning but I did notice that on Yuki's website he had a conversion kit for Dial of Rolex to be applied to an ETA movement with this be applicable in this instance you think?????

If I was you, and if I really, really had to do this, I'd buy the parts, send all of it to my modder and roll the dice.

To be honest bro I really am at that point with it I mean what I have is so freaking close but as being anal member of the fforum you know what's going through my head however I think I'm just going to put the pieces in a freaking box and mail it and see what comes of it The only thing is that the DJ 2 dial cost me $650 but hey it is what it is plus if I ad the Crystal In and all goes well it'll be about a super as rep can be lol

How do I contact him I have heard his name and always in refrence to the dd or Dj
You will find him on RWGforum.net, but as far as I know he only works on DD and DJ 36mm, not the second generation 41mm.

I'm still interested as well, crystal would be my first change though. Anyone braved it yet? My guess is you would need to do dial, date wheel and crystal at the same time to avoid alignment issues
