I remember the days when Rep AP SS Diver rules....

every post is about diver, diver, and diver....

version after version even lit another factory to produce the same watch.

variant fantasy coming up and still selling like hot cakes.....

now looks all member were jaded by it.

less and less people talking and posting about diver.

i wear my gen diver today and admire her as such a beautiful piece.

rep diver is not far behind, i said it since i compare them before.

i wait and wait and wait to buy the rep diver just because i want the latest and best release.

realize it wont happen unless i do some modds to it. then i bought V5.1 and V6.0 mush it down and do one hell of an ultimate diver moods, but sadly after more than 6 months the watch just not finished yet....:(

I began to bored with the project. jaded like most of the members i guess.

so my questions is this:

1.> DO YOU GUYS STILL OWN A DIVER?

2.> IF YES, HOW MANY DIVER YOU OWN and WHICH VERSION or WHAT MODEL?

To answer your qs:

Yep, I still own one and forever will.

IF NO, WHY?
My base Diver is a V3, modded it to beat low. I then bought a V4 to take the inner bezel and bezel and transplanted it to my V3 . Then recently, I got Domi's MD and swapped the stock xtal with it. I feel I have completed the mods required by now and I'm satisfied.

3.> DO YOU WEAR THEM OFTEN?
No, because I'm waiting for the rep XS strap! Dun wanna splurge on the gen if you know the rep is comin'. Cmon you know who! lol

4.> DO YOU STILL LIKES IT? TELL ME HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT IT or COMPARE TO UR OTHERS AP?
Absolutely. I feel the Diver is a must-have in everyone's collection and it'll stay in mine forever. Such a sporty classic. :)

I had a 5.1 Diver for a period of time, since has been sold. My reasoning comes down to a few things. Firstly, it always struck me as the baby ROO. I wanted a roo but the diver was in stock, cheaper and all around more accessible as well as accurate. I used it as my stepping stone into AP's to make sure I liked the style and size before I commited myself fully. When I got some other pieces it started getting zero wrist time so I sold it. Also I am avid diver having logged near 1000 dives, and I own a plethora of diving watches. I count 7 right now and some days i will pop on the Seiko or Oris just to wear around. I tend to get my diving watch fix that way. I guess in summary it just never grabbed me as much as a the chrono offshores and was just kinda there.

I will most likely one day grab a diver and hold onto it however. As others have said, it is a good way to round out the AP collection.

Still have my V3.5 after more than a year. Been wanting to upgrade but I think the cyclops clarity is still one of the best to date. Bezel screws are evenly sunken and straight cut, not rounded off like some, ap logo on crown is dead centered. Don't rock it much really, but still one of my fav. Can't justify upgrading to a newer version because all I need is a newer bolder inner bezel and if I was to buy a newer version just for an inner bezel for the mod, who's going to buy a ver 6.1 with a V3.5 inner bezel?

I remember waiting months for the v3.5 to come back in stock when I got it, and it was a rare watch that was sold really quickly when it popped up on m2m. It wasn't the v4-v5 started coming out only months/weeks apart that, like you said, the forums made it all the rage with all the discussion. It was affordable, it was extremely accurate, it was available, it suited pretty much anyone, it was available in two different versions (j12 and noob) and I think that's what made it so popular.

I probably won't get a v6/v5.1 unless it comes up for sale in Australia and for cheap too lol, i'm just happy with it

Yes, a J12 V6 with Guriu AR Xtal, OEM Rubber strap, waterproofed, movement and dial cleaned by Domi.

My first Diver was a H-Fac FC quickly sold on RWG. Then I took this V6...

I can't say it's my fav watch, but it's my fav rep and don't plan to sell.
I have to say THANKS J12, I saved 10K €. The next step is to buy an OEM buckle to complete this super rep.

i always heard people complaining on the std strap is to loong,

so with this xs strap release, i think there will be more people wearing this again jamz...

oh yes I love them, I wear the 6.0 SS most often in rotation with my PAMS

the diver is nice as it is so close to the real thing an not too complicated plain and simple.

I just own a FC V3 diver and this just because of the FC case.
The SS diver is the most boring AP ever. Its like wearing a Rolex Sub.
But its just my opinion

 It's the only AP diver I own. 'Project X' with Domi/Guru crystal.

I owned V5 and sold it to fund another few watches but swore to myself to get it again as I love the watch. There was great deal on FC V3 over on RWG some time ago so I couldn't pass on that one and man I'm glad I didn't. I love the watch and it's my only Diver (for now).

Since I got it, it had around 90% of wrist time (for about a month).

I love this watch and it will probably always be part of my collection in either FC or SS or maybe even both as I can't take it off my wrist. As I still don't have any other AP, I can't compare it but RBII should be on it's way soon. :nana:

I own the Noob 3.5 w/ SW200 movement, a J12 V3 FC Diver, and a FC diver with regular SS Diver dial and hands and a high-grade ETA 2824. I modded some to low-beat, some not. I never really saw the need to upgrade past V3.5 except for the ring print.

About once a month now, when I first got it I wore it nearly every day.

Having dismantled these many, many times, I have to admire the mechanics of the replica. It is really the one and only AP rep that can fool AP salespeople that it is gen. I do not think I would buy a genuine OEM Diver, the model does not make my heart really beat fast, and the rep is too good to justify the premium for the gen. My wife loves the Diver, and thinks it is my best watch, but her favourite watch for herself is minimalist: Nomos Glashütte. I love ROOs far more than the Diver, unfortunately, and would probably take a Black Themes over a Diver if I were in a pinch as to what to wear.

You and your wife have good taste. The BT is on top of my list. And Nomos is one of the best watches at that price point. Nothing else can compare to its finish and inhouse movt.

I love the carbon in the sunlight, especially after polishing. I wear it a few times during the week

I really like it, wish my 6.5" wrist didn't look so silly with a 44mm. Looking for another AP, deciding against a fully modded SS diver or a 15400 on a custom strap set up in the future.

Had a v5 & a v3.5 that I turned into a customized project X - all I have now is v4.1 with guru crystal, re-finished & screws re-polished.

I have to make a conscious effort not to end up wearing it everyday, I did for so long but then realized how many beautiful watches were just sitting in my box.

I still love it, from as soon as I took it out of it's little brown cardboard box it literally wow'd me (the words actually came out my mouth on initial open). The finishing of it is just a different level & there's just something about it! It's definitely my go to watch for 70% of situations and when deciding to wear it out or a different watch most of the time I'll end up with the diver on.

Like someone else said - it's by no means my favorite watch but it's my favorite rep!
