Hi everyone,
I usually support and buy from our trusted dealers as well as those we all know with great reputations here, but it's getting kind of tiresome waiting 3 to 4 weeks for the littlest things to arrive. I can plan my big projects fairly well, but sometimes find myself in need of a part I hadn't anticipated. For example, does anyone know if I can find hands for the 2813 stateside?

Thanks for any help!
Bob

Patience IS the issue. I can buy them all day long from Hong Kong and Singapore, but I'm looking to source something short notice.

Do you know hole sizes? I've got a line out to source in Texas but they don't have specific to DG2813 but may have ones with hole sizes that fit...

Interwebs info found posted on Homagefourum by Plastic: Can anyone confirm?

DG2813 hands are as follows:
Hour: 150 (1.50mm)
Minute: 100 (1.00mm)
Seconds: 17 (0.17mm)

ETA 2824 hand dimensions are as follows:
Hour: 150 (1.50mm)
Minute: 90 (0.90mm)
Seconds: 25 (0.25mm)

Might as well through this in as well:
Seiko's 7S26 movement's hand sizes are
Hour: 150 (1.50mm)
Minute: 90 (0.90mm)
Second: 22 (0.22mm)

You can drill out the ETA2824 minute hand, with a 1mm jeweler's drill bit and it'll work just fine. You can also "squeeze" the second hands stem slightly to reduce the diameter a bit, that part is a bit of a trail and error. I've done both and it works fine. Getting a 1mm drill bit and a pin-vice (for clamping the hands and lining up the holes before you drill) is a great investment, as it opens up a lot of different hands to be used with DG2813.

Source got back to me, they don't carry hands in those specific sizes other than Hour which they all seem to share.
Modding ETA is the shortest route...
