Being that I have a fear of breaking crowns off my watches (one of my friends nicknamed me Lenny) is there a decent winder out there that won't break the bank? How many revolutions per day for a 7750?

I have chosen to use a wolf design watchwinder. I will use it for gen and rep.

This is the one I bought,

It should be with me in a week, will post a review after a while.

As for rotations, I'm sure if you Google it that you'll find An answer soon enough!

Wolf also has 1-watch winders. Check out their website! I woud pick this instead of a cheap Chinese one.

You dont want to ruin the movements! :)

I just bought the 8 watch Wolf Roadster. Wasn't going to spend the $$$, but Jomashop is blowing them out and they ave a free overnight shipping code listed on the site. I have no idea if this is a today-only sale, but I picked one up for $825 incl. free shipping and no tax. The other models are on sale too. Crazy!

It sounds like you did the right thing.
I just bought a winder for $130 and it was a mistake. It started to growl in less than a week.
I don't know how much you have to spend to get the quality you need to provide quiet, reliable operation, but I would think that you have met that with the model you bought. From my research it looks like direct drive motors are problematic, and the belt drives tend to be on the better units.
I must admit the Jomas prices on the Wolf winders look really good.
Maybe you could update this thread in a month or so to let us know how its worked out, I know I will be interested, I can't find much on the forum about winders.

I've seen the volta ones on Alibaba as well. If the motors are japanese or german all should be fine.

Anyone have experience with the brand "PANGAEA"? I am looking at the Q400 or Q600. Any help, review or recommendations are very much appreciated

Anyone have experience with Brookstone?
It's the only winder I myself have physically used, but since have sold.
They seemed ok to me!?

www.brookstone.com and search "watch winder"
I will say, they are inexpensive.
But good, bad, indifferent, no experience - any opinions from members?

I've had a Brookstone 4-head winder for four years and the thing hasn't skipped a beat. It winds all my watches -- including the 7750's which most won't especially at a similar price point. Get one...

I thought the 7750 just needed 650 rotations per day. Why wouldn't any winder that can be adjusted for clockwise, counterclockwise or both do that?

ive been looking to get one for a while. what a hassle it is otherwise. its either a lot of work keeping them wound or they never have the right time. I was going to pull the trigger on the 4 head 80-120 models on ebay but glad I checked here first.

Not sure if this is OK but I just found a really nice 30 winder, I have this one I don't need http://www.watchwinderstation.com/wolf/roadstertriple.aspx PM me if you want me to list it for sale and interested.

Edit: actually just went back and read the whole thread and I have had the one edgeamatic ordered. Been great and works perfect for many months. I did however not really like the 5 pillows that come in the top part so I used the pillows that came with other wolf watch boxes. They are a little long and the other wolf's more round. The only thing on the winder and I am super picky is the holders seem to have a lot of spring tensions so it makes me nervous that I am going to stretch my straps and rubber so I usually wind only bracelet watches and leave the others on the top. Winder is great tho and fits all watches even IWC big crowns and Breit SA's
