Hublot BB V6 or AP Diver V3

I'm considering one of these 2 watches, and just from reading some of the reviews and problems, I'm stuck at a decision.
So I currently don't have a chrono watch. All of my good reps are 2836 or 6479 movements. So adding a 7750 chrono will make my collection more diverse. However, I'm worried about the 7750 movement, especially with not being able to use the chrono during certain times, can't change the date during certain times. And generally less reliable than the 2836. Also, I've read a lot of people losing their H bezel screws which are a bit tricky to source.

So given that, which would you guys go with?

I've owned both. I think the V3 Diver seems like a much nicer piece.

I never had problems with my V6. I made sure to tighten all the screws on it and never lost anything. Movement worked fine, ran the chrono a few times with no problems. It was a great watch, but just doesn't look or feel as impressive as the V3.

I like my HBB a lot, I can stare at it for hours when I wear it, but the next day when I wear my AP and I realize it's a lot nicer watch than my HBB. But the third day when I put my HBB back on I realize I was all wrong, the HBB was a nicer watch all along, or was it the AP?

looks like we have found a solution here: get a HBB and a AP diver.:biglaugh:

you cant go wrong with either one, but AP v3 is more desirable atm

I honestly don't see the attraction to diver, i like a lot of AP's but the diver is not one. Maybe if i saw one in the flesh my mind would change, but currently i just don't get it. I appreciate that it's probably one of the best/most accurate reps made to date but doesn't mean i like the actual style of it.

Love HBB, bought my first v6 less than a month ago and already have 2 more on the way and the current with domi being modded. They truly are beautiful and extremely well designed.

Thanks for all the input so far, really appreciate it.
I know that the 2836 movement is pretty reliable, so thats a real plus.
But people have been saying that 7750 is also reliable if seconds are at 9. Has anyone had a problem with their HBB with sec@9? I wont be using the chrono so dont worry about that factor.

And if I were to get the HBB, im deciding between the black magic or the green magic. I will probably just go with black since its more conservative and safe.

My other question is, does the HBB wear realy big? its slightly bigger than the AP, like 1.5 mm or something. I have a thin wrist so was wondering if that wil affect it. I mean i'm wearing a DSSD and PAM111 and it looks okay, a tad big. Will it be easy to punch a hole in the HBB gummy strap?

IMO the HBB with black a case looks smaller than the silvery AP , it ALSO wears smaller. It doesn't look any bigger than the 111.
I don't think you have to punch another hole in the strap but you may have a problem with the clasp if your wrist is really small, you may have to bend it a little to fit better.

The Ap is very very comfortable to wear, the Hublots I've always found that the clasp digs into my wrist, could never get a happy medium in wearing them.

7750's with sec@9 is as reliable as any other watches with more "reliable" movements. As long as you follow some basic rules about 7750's, you should be fine.
Basic rules I mean like, don't wind the watch manually, don't change the date when the hands are in between 9-3, etc..

All self respecting rep fans need to get one of each in their collection.

I'm dying to get my hands on a nicely modded Diver, and I'm struggling with which V6 HBB to get.

Has anyone had experience with the HBB v6 green magic?
If so whats your opinion on it compared to the Black Magic II with carbon fibre?
For side by side comparison:

So after reading more into the HBB, it seems that the Black Magic II, with the "carbon fiber" dial has a really bad cutout for the date indicator. Seems like the ice bang and green magic is fine, just the black magic ii.
