I'll let the pics do the talking. Ziggy truly captured "the look" with his work on this piece. The overall finish, the shaping of the cg and pin etc. all came together quite beautifully.

This 1B Franken is an assembly of the following gen parts... crown, dial, hands, strap and thumbnail buckle.

Rep parts... Jimmy case and cg, Davidsen(?) crystal and case back. Swiss series correct movement.

The strap is one of the newer Panerai buffalo straps. Amazingly comfortable. No break-in required.

I think one word is enough here; AMAZING!

(just by curiosity, but how much did this project cost you in the end? Fully understand if you don't want to answer that question!)

Enjoy this incredibly beautiful watch. :D

Cheers

I picked it up before it went up FS. The previous owner gathered all of the parts, sent them off to Ziggy and now I'm appreciating it for awhile. I added the strap and buckle.

If you add up the cost of parts based on prior sale prices and Ziggy's labor cost, you'll probably be able to make a fairly accurate guesstimate.

So, you're the one who bought that, eh, Robert? A fantastic choice on your part. That piece is every bit as good as the gen (minus a few hours of power reserve) for probably half the cost.

Wonderful watch, nearly one of a kind in the rep world.

This one I'll probably hang onto for awhile (famous last words). Seriously, you're right, it holds it's own sitting in my watch drawer of gens.

I just added a movement pic to the op.

OMG that is awesome. Panerai are my favourite ever watches.

I am so tempted by a rep but I am saving the pennies for a gen!
