Hi all,

I've had my ZF Tudor GMT for 1 month now and I'm very disappointed.

From the photos below you can see that black paint from the dial has started to come away, resting on the inside of the crystal and rehaut and part of the Tudor logo has started to come away too.

I have emailed the TD, however I fear they are going to say something along the lines of 'no returns' when this is clearly faulty. I believe in this instance it should be returned as it is not fit for purpose/faulty.

Please advise,

Thanks

E

Looks like the dial may be a little loose and scraping against the bottom edge of the rehaute, does the dial move when you pull the crown or when you wind it? The logo looks like it has a flake of black paint on top of it. I would take it to a local watch-smith to have the paint flecks removed and the dial secured.

Ouch, that's rough. I doubt they would take a return a month in. Might have to ask if they'd be willing to send over a new dial. Then send it to a watchmaker to fix it up.

The dial does not move when the crown is wound. Paint has come off the dial face as I can see discolouration on the dial that wasn't there before- very sad, feels like money down the drain.

Does RWI not have a good relationship with TDs to be able to rectify these issues, it seems a bit out of order to sell a $300 watch and then be left with something unwearable?

Contact the TD and ask for a new dial, if you can't resolve the issue, then open a help desk ticket and get a mod involved.

Thanks for your guidance- I've emailed the TD so I'll await their response.

Agree with this, if you are not able to do it yourself. It looks as though one or both of the movement clamps came loose. This is not unusual to happen after being shipped around the world. It's entirely possible the dial flakes can be cleaned out and the dial re-seated properly WITHOUT revealing any worn areas. Worst case scenario is you need a new dial, and someone to replace it.
