ZF MISSING NUMBER ABOVE SERIAL?

Hey all. Just got a ZF SS 15400 with the black dial. I bought it to replace my beat up rep I bought in 2017. I forget the old factory that my other one is from but I noticed something strange about the ZF.

On the ZF, there is no N° ##### above the serial number. Is it supposed to be like that? Does anyone have a clue if this a factory mistake?

I am happy to share any additional photos if anyone wants to see the ZF rep.

thanks in advance!

Not sure if that's as intended, but the ZF 15710 (also open case back) doesn't have the number. The closed case back has the number though.

This will fail authenticity test, You maybe stoped at airport security if you ever fly wearing this rep.

I just noticed on the TD site that in the video and pics it doesn’t have the Number portion either. Isn’t that a huge flaw? I thought that ZF had the best version of the 15400... open to feedback please!

After doing some research, it looks like none of the ZF have the number above the serial. I read on Reddit that someone did some deep searching and found that some gen have the number above serial while others don’t.

I can’t seem to find any photos of a gen 15400 case back without the N° ######. Only the 15550 don’t have it.

Why would ZF make the decision to omit it from their rep? Any thoughts on how to address it? Anyone else run into this?

Maybe cause they use the same case back for both 15500 and 15400 models, cheaping costs and components?

By the way, I have to inform you that Zf movement, too, is not exactly the same of gen AP 15400, so, who cares?
These are not big flows on which you have to point your attention, imo.
