Very interesting.. I am also in the market for one of these, lemme know if you message the TD and get a response about what is different!
From my prior research, the blue dial VF factory already had the updated 12 o’clock marker and fully funactional moon phase rather than 24 hr counter. But still lacked the updated moonphase face. (Only a few big stars rather than some big stars and a lot of small stars). And the V2 still hasn’t addressed that so I also wonder what they changed.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa!! They have the updated moondisc now??
Is that ur white dial JLC? I’ve always been curious, the gen white dial seems more silverish than the white ones from the TD’s in the online pics. How is the white dial in real life?
This looks beautiful any ideas what movement it is?

The most obvious tell of this watch in my opinion was the length of the markers, much shorter than on the Gen, and the logo.
It seems that in V2 the length of the markers would have been corrected, but it is not quite clear. For example, if we look at the V2 in Puretime:
We would have corrected the markers on the V2 with blue dial, but not on the V2 with white dial.

Newer version with longer markers and more starts on the moon dial.

It’s only the hour markers and moon dial that has changed and the moon is still quite flat even on the gen.
I don’t have a preference for the hour markers, I’d be happy with the old or new version style.
However, I really like the moon dial on the rendezvous, both gen and reps. If they did the classic in about a 37mm I’d happily wear it, regardless if it is a ‘woman’s’ watch! Having said that, I’m quite old fashioned in my tastes, I find the larger watches too ostentatious and lacking in style. I wish there were more reps of dress watches around 36mm to 37mm.
And by dress watch i mean no chrono, slim dimensions so dive watches are out, simple face so a single extra dial such as moon or small seconds, and leather strap in black or brown.

What would you say are the most obvious tells of the 1368420 ZF v2 white dial? Bearing in mind that the length of the markers and the stars do match the old Gen version.
Unfortunately I’ma relative noob to the repworld and haven’t held a JLC so couldn’t really comment.
I was only comparing the two different versions of the gen.
There was another thread in this form that looked at the then current reps, particularly the move from 40 to 39mm with the newer 39mm being considered better.
I haven’t been able to find the APSF version on any of the TD websites. Is this a new release? Looks good I just have a couple of questions. How is the moonphase compared to the ZF v2? And is that the clone A925 movement?

Yes, new release. My non TD quoted me a favorable price so will likely order soon. DD 925 movement. To my eyes, the moonphase disc is much better.

Thanks for the reply. I have been able to confirm with Steve that it is NOT engraved like gen.
In the real world the moon and date are minuscule and detail impossible to evaluate. I find the dial finish and behaviour/reflection in light a bigger tel. Saying that my Zf is pretty good but not quite as vibrant as the the gen in daylight conditions.
