Hi everyone, managed to grab a gen IWC leather strap for my ZF mark xx.

Being the gen a 10 I would rate the ZF a 8 /10.
The colour tone is about the same.

Unsurprisingly the gen has a better stich, more sturd, better printing and the fast release mechanism really works well.

Some pics for you.
The gen one is attached to the watch and has the buckle.

Let me know your thoughts. I wonder how the v7f strap version is.

£260 is how much the gen costs. The ZF exchange system works similiar but it seems you need to push harder.

What's the smell comparison? My brown ZF does not smell of leather.

dont worry about the smell. After wearing it in the hot sun and when the sweat gets into the strap you wont want to smell it. LOL

Here is my v7f brown leather strap.

The stitching on mine is uniform and straight, no complains there.
Springbar hole is quite loose on the watch though, you are able to hear the springbar moving in the springbar hole on the strap (there's a lot of play).
The smell is okay, slight leather smell coupled with a little artificial smell but I think with some wear, it will normalise and smell normal.
Quick release is good, able to take the strap on and off really quickly, although i feel the tab holding the springbar in place is too thin, should not be an issue though since the pressure point will be near the top of the strap during wear.
