I think I am cursed with loose crown lever though :? (2nd one in a row)
Joshua is sending me a new Crown Guard and Lever. Very nice of him.

He also included this extra strap - it looks very close to OEM IMO:

Notice the different text size on the buckle... I haven't seen one like this yet:

Text on the back of the strap is different from standard strap:

Thanks for looking!

Seeing a recessed pin always deflates it for me, especially in 2007. Otherwise looks good. loose lever CG issue is pretty common with 'generic' (read as non-DSN) Ti parts, but you can fix it really easy. open lever to out position and then squeeze the two sides of the crown guard that hold the lever when it's down with a watch vise - [using pliers or cruder tools is more of a hack and will probably score the part.] It doesn't need a lot of squeeze and suddenly you have a very tight fitting lever in the closed position. BTW this same fix works on CGs that don't push against the Crown so well and so also seem loose or open on their own ... stainless, PVD, Ti same fix.

Those Gold Semimat straps are good to distress, that's about diplomatic as I can be :)

The PAM061 is a good classic PAM - add a clear back and E type movement and you have a PAM118. Both are nicer than the latest Ti the 177 just on the Brown dial variation alone. A Tobacco Ti emits coolness

Thanks for the comment and info on the CG fix ~
I will be sending this out to Vaccum for cannon pin fix and relume - should be as good as it can get.

I really like the brown dial - with the A/R coating it came with, it gives a purple tone when exposed to sun. I chose this specific model because it's pretty damn accurate - correct caseback (every number matches to gen) and CG pin looks pretty good, No "L SWISS MADE L" sticking to "6" issue, etc. Movement is hidden inside the caseback too ^^

I will try the CG fix you told and let you know. If not, Vaccum will take of it for me (hopefully). He's been awesome and helpful so far. I have 176G with him currently and plan on sending 9B and this piece ^^

Very nice looking watch joe! Only other thing I'd consider changing is possibley swapping out that stock crown for a davidsen ti crown.

Joe, great purchase there. Relume and cannon pin will make it more appealing to you.

Yeah, I was thinking about it, but it actually looks thicker in person and Pam 61 is a C or D series which comes with relatively thinner crown... so I don't know what I am going to do yet with it :)

We'll see. I am thinking about replacing it with Homer's TI crown. I think his crown is 1.9 mm.

Thanks :) My rep fund will be completely depleted after modding this one ^^ I have 176G & 9B being modded by Vaccum as we speak and this baby will be the 3rd and final project for the year. Next year will be 111F and 112F.

061 is definitely worth modding - I do not feel that all Pam reps deserve such treatment though :)

Joe,
I said it before and I'll say it now once again - 061 is one of the nicest PAM Reps around, even stock from the rep factory. And that Ti caseback looks like it was "stolen" from a gen...correct numbering and millesimation to a tee :)

All these projects of yours are all great - you seem to have caught a PAM bug completely and learned a lot about popular PAM models amongst PAM gen afficionados...Base rules my friend ! It brings the smile on my face to see another forumer getting serious and particular about his models, and not just acquiring new reps just because the have "cool" diver bezel, or bear Ferrari horse logo or Stalone's "signature" or ... well, you know what I mean, don't you :)

Can't wait to see that 9B in it's final modded form :)

You mention 111F and 112F - have you started searching for discontinued F-series rep casebacks (it's a tough one finding it now, let me tell 'ya) or simply plan to use H-series stock ?

cheers,
babola

How is the 61 different from the 36 other than the clear caseback and T versus L dial? If none else, would this 61's caseback fit Ruby's 36, making it an instant 61? Or are they from different factories? What else am I missing?

Well the obvious would be the dial text Marina Militare vs. Luminor Marina.
061 does not have the #'s engraved on the case itself like the 036 case.

Thanks Babola :)

I will be searching for the F-series caseback soon haha. It'll be tough as you said, but I will be buying a watch with the correct caseback (not just the parts) so should be a little bit better.

Thanks for the tip enzo. I tried it but guarded the CG before I used my vice grips on it so it wouldnt leave a mark and it worked well.
