[XF PAM127] Strange reset feel when crown is pulled

Hi guys, need a bit of help.

Whenever I pull the crown to adjust the time on my XF PAM127 it always feels and sounds like it's unleashing something like a wound spring or a reset on a cheap chrono.

It's a satisfying and scary feeling at the same time, just wondering if it's normal. Does anyone else gets it as well? Worried that it's damaging something.

Cheers!

There is nothing being damaged it’s just how those movements are designed. How is power reserve? Does it do it when you wind the movement?

Thanks. Just does it only when the crown is pulled for the time setting. Instead of a 'click', it makes a 'chut' sound like it feels like it's releasing stored energy.

Not sure how long the power reserve is to be honest (I usually just wind it in short cycles). I did a full wound up yesterday to test and it seemed to have kept 24hrs+ so far.

ok. There is nothing wrong with the movement. It’s just poor Asian design of the movement. Transfer gear should be smooth. Im wondering if power delivery of this movement cones with twin barrel.
Check power reserve. When movement stops pull the crown and see if it will make that noise - if it will make that noise check if movement starts working without winding it up.
