this is actually a clone of the real thing or just decorated plates on top of a 7750 movement?

This is not the point, this looks to be a real clone of the P.9001

Curious to see the potential in this development, which is a P.9000 clone movement. This is as, if not more exciting than the P.9001 movement, as there are currently more P.9000 based PAM reps (19) than P.9001 ones (6). Also, while the back of the movement seems to be very close to gen, there is still the question of function, more importantly, the 12-hour GMT complication. This is an additional tell in the 6 models above, other than the movement accuracy, something that the P.9000 watches do not have.

Significant potential here with a true clone movement. At the very least should be a quieter movement given the rotor

Correct. But I would suspect that the effort of doing a P.9001 can only be explained if in fact the 12-hour GMT complication is repped too. Otherwise it will be a huge disappointment...

By the way, I believe there are 20 (and not 19) models with the P.9000

You probably missed the last one... the Luminor 1950 Sealand 3 Days Automatic Acciaio – 44mm (PAM00850), the Special Edition made in only 99 units on the occasion of the Year of the Monkey.

Looks promising
But ... we will see
Many things to be achieved if it wants to be a real clone

My point of reference is Paneraisource.com, which most likely isn't updated (Looking at its P9001 list, it only has 4 compared to the 6 you liste), nor complete, like yours, since its 19 has some models not listed in your 20. ;) Just making a general statement that the rep world would benefit more from an accurate P9000 movement. The ommission of the PAM00850 from the list is an oversight that probably most would accept as I don't think there is even a small demand for the year of the monkey SE.

Year of the monkey would sum up Panerai right now with their awful decision making on model changes. That 850 is fitting to the brand

You're right. Panerai website only lists currently available models. Probably the sum of the two lists will be comprehensive.
