Wrist size change during summer/winter

He guys,

I got this awesome Bosphorus leather strap that is a bit too tight. I think the best fit will be between holes but Im not going to ruin a fine strap by punching a hole in between.

I'm hoping it will fit better during the winter but I'm not sure

Do you guys experience differences in wrist size between summer and winter?

I don't experience enough of a difference to change what hole the strap is on.
Funny you mention that. I was thinking the same thing about a rubber strap I had on yesterday that didn't seem to fit the same as before.

When it's hot, my wrist does get bigger by about half the space between 2 holes

Sometimes on a hot active day I'll find my wrist a little bit larger in the afternoon then in the morning. Sometimes it's enough I'll have to move my bracelet a notch larger..this is when the glidelock on my subc is appreciated.

I guess I will keep it untill after the summer then to see how it will wear

You can try to ice pack your wrist for a 10min and try it on again.. maybe that'll give some winter insight.

My wrists get larger by late morning. I live in South Texas where the temperature can climb to 110 f. And the humidity can get up there as well. Especially if your outside a lot, drink water and use salt..But come winter time, my wrists stay the same most of the time.

Maybe get another strap for now? Those holes look pretty far apart. For me I am constantly in over air conditioned buildings and 30°+ outside so my wrist constantly swells and shrinks like crazy. I had to try a few straps to get one where the holes line up right. You could also try shrinking the strap with a soak in water and hair dryer.

If you see yourself keeping the strap for the long haul, it doesn't hurt to put in another hole, since yours really are spaced quite far apart. Just go to any leather/shoe repair place and they'll do it for you for free.

I sadly have a SS bracelet, so I'm too lazy to keep changing the wristband one size bigger or smaller. I just keep it that way for the whole summer and then change it as soon as "Winter is coming"

Generally, if they have a half link in the bracelet, I go up and down to get comfortable by the season... Or, if I participate in too many pig feet snarking contests...

This is why micro adjustment is so precious.

I have about .5 link/hole difference on a hot/cold day, just have to live with it.

My lazy tactic to it? I bought winter/summer watches

My wrist changes even just throughout the day most days. Enough to need to adjust the strap/ bracelet at least once

Your wrist should swell based on temperature, food intake, water/alcohol intake, etc.

if you really like the strap, punch a new hole. You will find that hole very handy if you ever consume to much sodium one night, and the next morning you want to put the strap on [emoji482]
