Curious for input. I am planning on traveling to china. Should I consider having the TD ship a Rep to the hotel I will be staying at? I am thinking it would be faster/easier to do this as opposed to shipping to United States. Is this smart?

Reach out to the TD from whom you are buying and ask them if they would do that for you, or what issues you would face. Go from there.

Better ask the TD, some of them ship to main land China some don't.

They can do it but you need buffer time. People underestimate the time needed to source and QC a watch, depending on the watch and how long you stay, it may be hard to align getting your watch exactly with the time you'll be in China. If you do this order super early and then ask them to hold the shipping. SFExpress internal shipping takes 3-5 days max.
If they have it in hand, absolutely. SF express is as fast as 1-2 days sometimes.

I had puretime sent the watches to my hotel. Picked up the package at the front desk.
I think it partly depends how long you are there for and whether they already have the piece to hand.
