Would you consider the BLS Super Chronomat reliable?

I’ve heard that the A7750 movement is used in this rep. I’ve also heard that it’s quite unreliable and prone to breaking. However, as there’s nothing modified to this movement, would you consider it reliable, even if the chronograph is engaged?

I wouldn't worry too much about that. The Super Chronomat has a layout that is compatible with the 7750 (more precisely the 7753) - the small seconds on the 9, the stop minute on the 3 and the stop hour on the 6. Reps with a 7750 and this standard layout are actually very reliable and stable. Nevertheless, the chrono should be used carefully and not all the time.
The 7750 is particularly problematic when the totalizers are deflected, as is the case with the older AP Offshores, which have the small second at 12. This is a delicate matter that makes the movement fragile.
I myself have a BLS Super Chronograph and two BLS Chronographs, none of which have ever caused any problems.

Thank you so much for your reply! I really like the Super Chronomats, but all the negative feedback on the A7750 gave me some doubts. By the way, would you mind PMing me some real life pictures of this particular rep, please? Thank you so much once again!

I would echo Jaybee’s sentiments above. 7750s are a movement I know very well given all my reps are Breitling. They don’t tend to fail unless you mess too much with chronograph. I wouldn’t let the movement put you off the rep, it’s beautiful. I’ve had one in nearly every colour at some point.
