Question for those of you who have read my recent problems with my PAM in the bracelet thread...

I also had these scratches on the inside of the lug holes. I did not make them and they were already there. You can not see them with the bracelet of course, but would they be visible with a strap? I am contacting my dealer now to send the watch back so I just want to know if I should list this as a problem. I do not have any straps right now to test but to those of you that do have straps. Would it be possible to see these scratches?

Thanks.

the scratches are from the ss bracelet. when it moves it put marks on the watch. i read a big thread about this along time ago on tz. this guy was very pissed because his gen was like this and everybody else was telling him it just wen with the territory when you use a ss bracelet. he was still unhappy. the ss puts those marks on it. mine is the same way and my navitimer is like that also. this is the main reason i have a 111h that is dedicated to a ss bracelet. i don't put leather on it. i have a 177h and 113e for leather.

If you get one of those thicker (wider) straps, you should be fine I would think. Most strap makers make the straps 25mm (instead of 24) so that the lug pins are completely hidden.

I can't see the pic you attached above, however.

Maxse,

It looks to me that you won't be able to hide all of the scratches with straps.

You should be able to hide all the scratches around mid-to-bottom of where the lughole is, but
the top part would be shown a bit.

I don't think it'll be very visible though, but I understand your pain.

lol, H_U those are my scratches...

Would it be possible to polish those out?
IF not, that can happen to gens too right?

Anyway, the watch is currently being sent back to China.
